Thanks for the input! I was have considered ableton. If I start recording more and know its something I'll do consistently it sounds like a really good option.

can't tell you how many times even google AI, the thing that pops up after a search on an actual search engine, for sure had the wrong info. It will give me an answer WITH links to where it got the info and it would still be pretty wrong.
