It's Kinuko Oomori AKA. voice actress of Priss Asagiri's birthday which is a good excuse to put up some Bubblegum Crisis #art again

I saw reviews of the minipc I bought and they showed how games played in 1440p. The games ran well and looked good. I'm still playing games in 1080p so I assume if the pc can play 1440p well then 1080p should run even better.

You know, if AI is trained on data from the internet and then that data is placed on the internet you will have AI being trained on AI data. That is going to corrupt the data AI is trained on. Do pro-AI people not get this?

They will have to ask if they want to continue to have data to train AI on. Because not asking for permission will hurt artists and they won't be able to create art that AI is trained on. You see how this works? Also AI trained on AI art will produce worse results than we do now.

So I ordered this expensive mini-PC (GMKtec EVO-X2) with the most powerful iGPU you can get. It will probably play every game I want to play (at 1080p). Of course, that's not why I bought it but it's nice that it can. I'm not getting rid of my desktop PC. It will just be used exclusively for games.

I'm sorry but the baseball episode of Star Trek DS9 is just stupid. The casino heist episode was equally stupid. And let's not talk about the episode where Quark has a gender-change. DS9 is a great show but it has some terrible episodes.

Hell it's been 7 years since Laid Back Camp first started airing, which CR coproduced, and dubbed 3 seasons of and not a single physical release!

It feels like 100°F outside. Yep, in May.

Let's just release crap that only a few will buy, nothing good from our back catalog, such as Laid-back Camp. Sorry, I'm in a bitter mood today.

Ughh... It's supposed to be 91°F (33° C) tomorrow. Summer temps are here.

False alarm: Valve confirms that nobody hacked into over 89M Steam accounts and that your passwords are safe www.pcgamer.com/software/pla...

This info comes from a random guy on Twitter. Steam wasn't breached itself. Valve says they don't use this 3rd party vendor and the vendor says they weren't breached. Believe this info or not but changing your Steam password probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Turn on 2FA (not SMS or email 2FA).

I knew this was going to happen eventually.

Make sure to get plenty of fiber.

They "understand how valuable these programs are." Then why are you getting rid of it?

Good thing about 1080p PC gaming is you don't need to spend tons of money on computer hardware to get games to run well.

You know, I'm quite happy sticking to 1080p gaming.

With any game that has ray-tracing, I usually turn it off. It seems like unnecessary stress put on the GPU for a little lighting effect.

I'm checking out alternatives to Google Drive because I'm not sure how things are going to end up with Google if they're told to break up. I've heard about how Chrome and Android might be separated from Google but nothing about their other services.

Okay, that's hilarious. Proton has a cloud storage service like Google Drive. I was glancing at the help section on their site. One of the pages says, "How to play Doom in Proton Drive." Hahaha... I've never seen a cloud storage have a option to play Doom.

So Microsoft wants people to use AI instead of actually learning how their computer actually works. AI is making people stupid and unwilling to learn. Then again, for some reason, a lot of people seem to become really stupid when sat in front of a computer. AI is destroying computer literacy.

also you all need to see this, because this is something I don't think *anybody* could predict for where this ad goes

That's nuts. A miniPC with 96GB of RAM is crazy.

They really need to make more low-profile GPUs. Or just smaller ones. Nowadays GPUs are too big and too heavy, oh and too expensive (what isn't at this point).

I feel Android and Chrome will go to shit without Google. I've been using Android for so long that it will be tough to change. Changing browser wont be too bad but Android will be much harder because all that is left is iOS. I hate iOS on a phone. I also feel that Apple is no better than Google.

Many able-bodied people forget that they could become disabled for the rest of their lives at any moment. Just takes one accident or illness. You can live the healthiest life and still become disabled.

Firefox could be doomed without Google search deal, says executive www.theverge.com/news/660548/...

So phones don't come with chargers anymore. Honestly, I'm surprised they still give us a cable. That's probably going next.

What I really want with a minipc is a computer I can leave on all the time. I don't really like having my gaming pc run all the time. So I usually turn it off at night.

30 hours in and I'm getting bored of Blue Prince.

Picking out a mini-PC can be difficult. Do I get the latest thing or buy something a bit older (still released last year) with a dedicated GPU? Do I get one with a desktop CPU but no dedicated GPU? There's also ones with an option for external GPU. But then I gotta buy a GPU and a dock.

Yeah, yeah. I'm hoping to see Dirty Pair on Blu-ray someday too but I think it's time to just write off the money I paid. Maybe someone else will pick it up someday.

I hate how a lot of people associate wi-fi with the internet. “Is wi-fi out? No, but the internet is. Wi-Fi works just fine." I don't know why it bugs me but it does.

legend of the galactic heroes has hypnobeds that give you 8 hours of rest from 1 hour of sleep, i’ve never wanted anything more in my life

There's a twilight zone episode that a boss of company replaced all his employees with automation, which he was cool with. That is until he was replaced by automation. "A man has value," he says. Something the people in episode he fired were telling him the whole time. People have value.

Finally got my case for my new phone. Much better grip. It's just an official Google Pixel Pixel 9a case.
