I've got a little notebook showing how easy it is to take a data dot gov repository, identify new files, and move them to @biglocalnews.bsky.social ' server. You can use it to just copy stuff, adpt to other repositories, other storage systems, whatever. github.com/biglocalnews...

New state-level JOLTS data for Dec. '24 out today! First look at the quits rate. Still relatively high in mountain west states like AK, WY, and to a lesser extent MT and ID. Middle Atlantic and New England states seeing the lowest. #EconSky #NumbersDay

New jobs data out today for Jan. '25. Major multi-month revision — that was announced and expected — to alter much of the '24 gains down. Preliminary Jan. '25 numbers at 1.3% year-over-year growth with Dec. '24 to Jan. '25 month-over-month growth at 1.1% annualized. #JobsDay #NumbersDay #EconSky

State job growth data came out today, and all states & territories (except SD) have added jobs over the last year! Fastest: Idaho (3.6%), N Dakota (2.7%), Missouri (2.7%), S Carolina (2.6%), Utah (2.6%) Slowest: S Dakota (-0.1%), Virgin Islands (0%), W Virginia (.2%), Iowa (.4%), Delaware (.5%)
