#Jupiter's closest moon Metis emerges from the planet's shadow. Rings as well as two Jovian moons can be seen. Io with it's volcanic plumes, sulfur halo and aurora. Europa with hypothesized water ice geysers erupting from it's polar region. Bright blue star in the background is Earth. #astronomy

I am fascinated by a theory of tiny primordial black holes hitting solar system planets and moons, going through them as if they are barely there. This is my interpretation of such black hole piercing through our moon and emerging on the other side, leaving a small, unusual crater. #space #astronomy
