This is very, very bad. Am working on a write-up, but let’s just say that firing military leaders for blatantly political reasons is wildly inappropriate; firing all the too lawyers is ominous; firing them all at the same time is a terrifying five-alarm fire

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

He really does think he's a king. She says she'll comply with state and federal law, and his response is literally "we are the federal law" The main tool in his arsenal is the withdrawal of federal funds, and he's going to use it as long as we keep letting him.

Whatever his motivations, this is where Trump is leading us. Insane on its face; offensive at the least. I wouldn’t trust the man with a literal nickel. (I also worry that Bannon’s argument that the Christian US+Russia need to team up to defeat Islam and China is now a driver of our foreign policy)
