Ash - 2025 I hate to be negative but this movie feels unfinished. I feel like there was a solid 30 minutes that was stretched out to feature length without the acting, editing, directing chops to make it work. A solid skeleton without the developed muscles to animate it.

Anora - 2024 Let's pack it up and go home boys. I doubt it gets better than this. Beautifully shot and ferociously acted, Anora made me fall in love with its titular beautiful but broken protagonist. We all want to love and be loved. Anora understands that desire can create beauty and devastation.
