Trump is planning to see Les Miserables at the Kennedy Center. No word on whether he'll bring the National Guard with... or just mobilize afterwards.

New nickname for the administration... (I'm just sorry that it's already taken): "Insane Clown Posse."

As I've said, the bad news is that the president of the USA is no longer the leader of the free world. The good news is that Trump is not the leader of the free world.

And no staffer dares tell him that foreign students decrease the trade deficit.

In the category of "The bad news IS the good news," the President of the United States is no longer the leader of the free world.

Seeing the clips of the White House reporters' kids asking questions of Karoline Leavitt just points out how small the differences are between these young children and their parents. Taken individually, I wouldn't have been shocked to hear any of the kids' questions at a regular press briefing.

The oligarchs accompanying the president on his trip to the Middle East are doing deals that will keep the money flowing after they have bankrupted the people and assets of the US. Again, for those playing along at home, they do not care about us.

For those of you following along at home, I apologize for the number of comments today. I'm on vacation and am using my time wisely.

Hey, Journalists! Questions for you to ask on the luxury jet "donation." How long will it take to add military upgrades (such as anti-missile tech) and secure comm gear? Will it be ready sooner and at less cost than the currently being-built replacement planes? Will Boeing need to do the retrofit?

@nytpitchbot.bsky.social is this you?

When the president says the US economy is in a transition, he is absolutely correct: Transitioning from the world's best economy into a self-induced recession.

ABC News interview with DJT in the Oval Office is a fail. It's impossible to fact check him in real time, due to the flood of lies. Why give him a platform to lie?

It was a big deal for the Biden administration to achieve an economic "soft landing" (no recession and no increase in unemployment), only to have the new administration promptly say "Hold my beer and watch this!"

All due credit to 60 Minutes for covering the cuts to NIH, including direct impact to patients (interviewing a woman in a clinical trial for dementia). Telling individual patients' stories is the key to getting the story across.
