A perfect evening at the Miesville Mudhens game last night in beautiful Miesville Minnesota. #baseballsky

My finished books for the first 6 months of 2025. Doing well so far this year. #booksky

My home #library is complete. I am so happy with how it turned out. #booksky

The narrator is on a ship from New York to Buenos Aires where he discovers the world chess champion is also abroad. The narrator meets another man that plays a game against the champion. This man has a past with chess that comes out during the game. This one was pretty damn good. #booksky

Beautifully written. At times complex, but all the time meaningful and important. If nothing else read the last chapter Who Speaks for Earth? Carl Sagan was a national treasure and we are lucky that while we no longer have him we have his writings and maybe even some of his sense of wonder. #booksky

It was an honor to talk to Ms Rebecca Romney at the NYC Antiquarian Book Fair today. She was unbelievably friendly. Follow her on Instagram for some DEEP book knowledge. #booksky

A couple new #books I bought today in New York City. #booksky

My #homelibrary is coming together nicely. Still a lot of room for more #books #booksky #booknerd

The Fudgsicle box is both falling and not falling at the same time. #paradox #Schrödinger

Why hasn’t the Tesla board gotten rid of musk. They are going to have to do something soon or musk and is shit ideology is going to ruin that company. I know it’s unpopular but I really like my Tesla. But I really hate musk. #teslaban #tesla

Belt of #orion. You can even see some of the fuzz of the #nebula #astrophotography #nightsky

My yearly reading of my all time favorite book is complete. It was a nice bonus to again read it while cruising the Caribbean. I always keep an eye out for Santiago in his little skiff. I have yet to see him. Maybe next time. #booksky #read #book #booknerd

A couple new books from #halfpricebooks today. #booksky

Book 5 of 2025. Cannery Row was beautifully written. But I found it a bit of a mess. But ultimately I enjoyed it very much. #booksky

Book 5 of 2025. The fascinating story of the building of the dome of the Duomo in Florence. #booksky

Book 3 of 2025 I am embarrassed to say this is my first time reading Of Mice and Men and John Steinbeck Unbelievable! Beautifully written, descriptive, twisty and ultimately incredibly sad. I was blown away. This one will make my yearly reading stack. #boosky #readmorebooks

Book 2 of 2025 Brilliantly written. I throughly enjoyed this short quick read. It was a fascinating look at communism and corruption. It seems to be very timely with what we are seeing in the world the powerful taking more and more advantage of those with less. It’s pretty stark. #booksky

Hey #booksky what are your thoughts on the book The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand? I am seeing reviews ALL over the board for it. I feel reading Rand increased my street cred. :-) #book #reader

Book 1 of 2025. Nothing like starting a new reading year with a 1014 page tome. Another beautifully written #book by #kenfollett This one is the second book of the Kingsbridge trilogy. Worth your time. I liked The Pillars of the Earth a bit better but I really enjoyed this one as well. #booksky

#kamalaharris would have been outside. And there would have been 10s of thousands of us standing with her. #fucktrump

I disabled my stupid #tiktok account today. My social media accounts are becoming a memory.

I found an unopened box set of Shelby Foote’s trilogy on the #civilwar yesterday at my local used bookstore for $36. Looking forward to diving into these. #booksky #read

Another incredible year of #books is done. I read 11387 pages for a total of 33 books in 2024. My favorites this year were: 3. The Martian. 2. The Day The World Came To Town. 1. Pillars of the Earth. And of course I read my all time favorite book The Old Man and The Sea #booknerd #booksky

Cheers to all of you here on #bluesky. Hopefully we can make it through 2025 together. #cocktail #newyearseve
