Few things on adhd medication. You can take it and later decide its not for you, titrate so you only take it week days, take it decide its not for you. Go years on it then come off it. It's not all or nothing. You only know if you tritrate properly and try. Nothing to lose there.

The is is a great thread. I was diagnosed autistic first. Not formally diagnosed ADHD yet but that will happen I think. The really hard bit for me is reframing and rethinking who you are and unmasking and self-advocating in a healthy way.

Huge relief is preceded by enormous anxiety. By the time I showed up for my appointment, I was sure. Everything fit. Anecdotally, at least (the time knife, the always the same story), but you have to consider the possibility that the assessment will come up negative. And then what?

For teachers, this is what the kids we teach go through too. So pls be understanding it takes years to adjust to a #Adhd #Autistic or #Audhd diagnosis. It's a serious one, with alot of ups and downs. So understand where they ARE in the process.
