I've noticed the tendency of many outlets to say that Israel using starvation as a weapon of war is 'opposed' or 'criticized' by 'rights groups'. That's quite mild given the severity of the crime here. It's not just 'rights groups'. It's at the very foundation of everything. 🧵

I'm a lawyer and this is correct. Straight line of "blatantly illegal constitutional end-runs to violate human rights" from Iran–Contra to Gitmo to CECOT paved by the only consequences the perpetrators suffering being more money, more power, and more prestige.
