So far, the app with the least painful UI experience is Audiobookshelf. Nominally an audio book server, it also serves up epubs and pdfs with only minimal complaint. Still working on good/stable/reliable back end import and library management tools.

what’s a small investment that’s had a ✨massive✨ impact on your quality of life?

Still trying to get a epub Library server & eReader app combination working. You'd be surprised (not really) at how many fail to manage SSL root CA certificates properly. This breaks the self-hosting paradigm so badly. (Too many to list)

On initial reading I was skeptical, because of all the issues we gender non-conformists have to suffer through on a daily basis, but this one is good. It's suitably satirical. (Satyrical? Is that a word? Can it be?)

Preparing for a flying trip to Melbourne on Sunday. There to sell a violin, which will add a little buffer back to my pockets. Taking the train this time (from Yass), which costs the same as driving, takes just as long, and saves me from driving.

A daily purr from my Purrtreon. Please touch the image to read better! 🐈‍⬛🤍

Trying to write and Primrose insists on joining me, to the point of even getting ink on her fur. Rude cat!

🏆 Congrats to Vic Michaelis, winner of the "Fear of Public Speaking" award! Speech! Speech!

everyone is so dumb about most things, including me this is just what it’s like to live in a massively complicated technocapitalist society in which we’ve taught sand to do math and all good policy flies in the face of our Paleolithic instincts in an age like this, the real sin is overconfidence

my biggest instinct this week, other than ordering a copy of my birth certificate, has been to celebrate the heroism of americans, especially federal employees, who are refusing to comply with tyranny. This will be a thread of their names/photos/actions, until I find a better way to honor them.

Oh no! I entered an art store planning to buy one thing! I am now poor, having purchased two things 😁

Heads-up for those who have purchased Amazon's Kindle ebooks: Starting Feb. 26, Amazon is removing feature that allows you to download purchased books to a computer (which is useful for backup or converting to formats compatible with non-Kindle e-readers) www.theverge.com/news/612898/...
