If we have the “woke mind virus”, we need to be saying they have the “broke mind virus.”

My 7th grader was assigned folk/hero research related to her country of heritage & her teacher used chatGPT to find a comic book character. Any site related to comics is blocked at the school, & they can’t use Wikipedia. So we requested an interview with the creator. Will be so cool if it works.

Technology should help and free us. Hypothetically, if I make $100K, & AI replaces me, I should share in part of the AI’s earnings. Like $75K to me and $25K to business. If the AI gets smarter, the $25K is reduced + revenue. I don’t want to get replaced to live on unemployment. That’s not progress.

Can you even buy a flying vehicle without flight recorders? I can’t buy a car without seatbelts or airbags. This smells like BS. They don’t want us to know.

Wanting to maybe trade my Subaru for a new Volvo and do the Swedish pickup experience so I can avoid the tariff and get a vacation.

This week’s assignment is to watch “Hamilton.” It’s on Disney+, maybe you rent it, get it from a library, or find it on that pirate ship. Whatever. We started it with the kids because we think one might end up a theater kid, but I’m finding it extremely relevant for our current time.

Wow TIL wait for the end

Picking flights for work trip: Would I rather get sucked out of a defective Boeing jet door, or collide with a plane at takeoff? The prices are the same. I should get bag check for free either way.

That one Chinese guy’s AI video of American workers was too real. I would have believed it if the first guy was drilling something vs air. They all looked like people we see every day and it was supposed to be an exaggeration.

I seriously underestimated the number of people writing books until I found Bluesky

As I approach 50, I’m thinking Gen X old folks homes are gonna be lit 🔥. 70s-80s movies, arcades (must have Gauntlet), rubiks cube dexterity exercises, beastie boys Muzak.

At which point do we call time of death for this country? It’s dead, Jim.

Trump on his about-face on tariffs as a flexibility. "You have to have flexibility. I could say, 'Here's a wall, and I'm going to go through that wall. I'm going to go through it no matter what,'""Sometimes you have to be able to go under the wall, around the wall or over the wall." Unrelated pic

Mark my words. He just saw this market spike after pausing tariffs. He’ll put those heavy tariffs back, tell his friends to buy the crash, then take them off again to make a fortune. Over and over. There’s always a grift.

I’m gonna start an Al company that is just old men in nursing homes named AL. The L in Al is lowercase. Al gets your prompt via a text, then explains the answer to you over the phone, from an Al point of view. It gives them some young people to talk to or yell at. It’s therapy. Al does not draw.

After the tariffs hit.

Watching world-ending disaster movies to cope because they are the clearly hypothetical struggles vs the very real real ones.

Watching The Last Voyage of the Demeter. It’s a documentary about our country.

He will sell the ashes of this country and claim he fixed it.

A Little Free Library, but instead of books, it’s a stack of reusable protest signs of a uniform size. Give one / take one.

Math says I should run 89,500 mph around the earth to jump and float to Jupiter. Assuming no oceans or friction, but the force at that speed would still crush me.
