Fun fact: I sleep diagonally in my bed pretty much every night. This is the reason why.🐕

I’m looking for books that would be appropriate to read to elderly patients. Looking for books that aren’t too childish but are short and easy to comprehend. The only ones I’m familiar with are the “step into reading” books. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

People who have big dogs and don’t know how to control them.🙃

Went to my friend’s book signing today and it was so fun. Didn’t expect to leave with so many books but all her blurbs pulled me in.🙃

My response to the question I was just asked, VS. an excerpt from my book. Life imitating art.😂

Starting a new job soon. I've worked a job where tattoos were allowed but the manager told me l needed to start covering my arm. I was confused because other employees had visible tattoos, but it was actually my scars he wanted me to cover. With that said, should I cover my scars from the get go?

Going to attempt to get a bit of writing in today. The vibes for this WIP are my favorite.🩸🥃

It’s been a whirlwind watching Suzanne’s journey. I definitely have a soft spot for her book, and the characters. I’m pretty great friends with the witch after staying up till 4AM getting to know her. Wishing my good friend the absolute best of luck on submission.🩸🪻🐦‍⬛ #TheCrowIsMyDoing

Finally made an update on the clock app. www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2yr22qk/

If anyone wants to know how writing is going I just sent a text stating; “but that’s murder not prost*tution.”

Grey's Anatomy X The Vampire Diaries🩺🩸 Dragged into a world where a blood-thirsty vampire is hunting her down-Charlotte never imagined the monsters that would leave her fighting for her life... would be human.🫀 #QuestPit #Q #A #PR #Sapphic

For over a century, Emily Hemlock's existence has meant little more than satisfying bloodlust. But when her coven meets Charlotte, the new nurse, and realizes her heart is failing, they break the one rule their matriarch has set for them: never interfere with human life.🫀 #QuestPit #Q #A #PR

My brother wanted to see if he’d be able to pick up my dog. He succeeded, but accidentally knocked her head into a glass door in the process. After a brief moment of confusion she was just smiling so big and it was the funniest thing ever. I love dumb dogs.

It’s been quite a day.

Recovery has been going so well that yesterday I ignorantly decided a trip to the grocery store would be a good idea. Turns out walking around a giant store just three weeks after major abdominal surgery is, in fact, not a very wise idea. The pain is dizzying. I can barely stand up straight.

Grief is a funny thing. You can go months, years even, and you’ll think of those you’ve loved and lost. But you’re okay. You’re doing it all without them just fine. But then you hear a certain song, catch a glimpse of a movie as you’re changing the channel, and you feel the weight of their absence.

“Know that I'll always love you, even when it's too late to.”

Spent a good couple of hours drafting an email that I know will lead to absolutely nothing but after all the drama that led to this point, something in me just felt the need to follow up on this.🙃

@charmstrong.bsky.social and I dubbed ourselves #SurgeryBuddies when we first hopped on a call and realized we were scheduled to go under the knife just two weeks apart. So glad your surgery went well, Cathie! Wishing you as smooth and painless a recovery as possible.💜

I’m loathe to admit this but most of the time I misspell “Consequence.” (If you take a quick peek at my pinned post you’ll understand why this is problematic.)

One big difference I’ve noticed about my #AmQuerying experience this time around, is that even though my request rate is quite literally nonexistent, most of the rejections I’ve received have provided me with feedback, or have at least been personalized.

So after receiving some extremely helpful feedback… let’s say I revised my synopsis that, admittedly, was quite vague. Any #LitAgents willing to take another look at my lesbian vampire doctor?

So I may or may not have downloaded this dating app a few days ago, and the fact someone who has the exact same name as me (just spelled differently) messaged me.😂

Okay two questions... 1. How long is your synopsis? I’m feeling mine is a tad too long at 760 words. 2. Do you write character’s names in all capitals the first time they’re mentioned?

I’m perfectly fine with my mother reading my writing, and occasionally ask her to review isolated scenes and excerpts, but having her review and critique my synopsis is a no go. I’m not sure why.🙃

When you have a literal English/writing teacher at your instant disposal but you’re too embarrassed to ask her to look over your synopsis.

Educated enough to know better. Dumb enough to make the mistake, regardless.

Actually, what I believe I may have done is mixed meds that should not be mixed.🙃 Wonderful timing on my part, as I was literally just warning someone not to do this very thing. This nausea is relentless.

I posted earlier that I’m feeling decent for being two weeks post-op. I should have known posting such a thing would come around to bite me in the a*s. Queue the pain and nausea.

Fun fact that coincides with the fact that there’s a fair bit of medical jargon in my writing. Some of my knowledge comes from having been a patient more than I’d like, but most of my knowledge is professional. I’m a CMA, and have my BLS. Also trained in phlebotomy, and I never miss a vein.😜🩸🩺
