Pronounced Kálina. Trans woman with autism and ADHD. I like writing and art and creativity in general. I don't like genocide. Trying to connect with people like me. Unwilling subject of the US, but stuck here trying to make the best of it while I can.

"In a 6-3 decision..." tells you that there's some Hitler shit about to finish that sentence

Someone please either talk me into or out of this: I want to start a blog or video channel or something that focuses less on "what happens next" according to history, and instead focuses on "what to do next" according to that same history. Despite the memes, all of this is, in fact, precedented.

Since SCOTUS ruled that lower courts can't do national injunctions. Democrats need to systematically remove all the injunctions put in place by Republicans courts. That's the law.

Like, imagine the federal judiciary basically making the case for you that agents of the federal government can be viewed as an occupying force instead of as a governing body. I'd like to clarify that this is VERY BAD but resistance requires motility and it's important to recognize vulnerabilities.

I'm not saying this will happen. But if there comes a future where the US federal government, in an attempt to consolidate power, accidentally - for all intents and purposes - dissolves itself and paves the way for states to re-federalize on their own... this is consistent with that future. #SCOTUS

I think one of the big takeaways here is not that Mamdani is a generational talent as some assert but rather that people in this country are so hungry for politicians with actual vision that any reasonably charismatic young socialist who puts in a strong ground game can pull this off elsewhere

Maybe it hasn’t been said enough or just in a while or both but having sexual predators in the headlines and seriously paid attention to is a real trigger for many of us. One down, for now, one little bit of safety clawed back.

Happy to see other people starting their sentences with conjunctions. But it isn't enough. Yet.

Trying to decide how insulted I am (if at all?) that a dnd friend thinks of trans women as "elves" and trans men "dwarves". Yes it plays into stereotypes of "tall, elegant, put-together, hyperfeminine" and "short, strong, confident, hypermasculine" but on the other hand I think it's kinda cute.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social Good job dude 👍

So, if you think establishment Democrats will do whatever they can to sabotage progressive candidates, you're correct. But I feel it's better that they actually have to work for that. Progressives self-sabotaging in advance, in anticipation that Democrats will try to, is doing their work for them.

I remember when I was a kid, I really wanted to be smart, so I wished I'd grow up to be smarter than the president. What I'm saying is: I'm sorry everyone, I should have been more specific.

If this is self censorship just imagine what they want to say and don’t

(Desperately trying to focus my ADHD brain on botany) So wait is the pirate trans or not?

As much as I truly appreciate Hank Green's science education material, work to de-stigmatize intellectualism, and general well-meaning vibe, sometimes I read stuff like this and *really* get the sense that he considers social science, political science, and psychology to be inferior fields of study.

Democrat messaging for years has largely been BE AFRAID BE AFRAID BE AFRAID. There's something obvious about this fact that everyone points out, and something slightly less obvious that I personally don't see mentioned very often: the group of voters who would vote for Cuomo respond very well to it.

I feel like if there was a bill being considered in congress right now that had a provision forcing cis people to take HRT unless they paid at least $240 a month, there might be some meaningful push-back against it. In case you're curious why so many of us struggle to take your "system" seriously.
