Trump believes that the weak need to give in to the strong for peace. He abandoned the Kurds. He abandoned the Afgans. His peace plan for Gaza is to get rid of the Palestinians. He projects strength so he doesn't give in to anyone, but Putin projects more, so Trump gives in to him without a fight.

Only by growing older can you truly understand how confused your parents were with all the new technology coming onto the market. They went from radio to TV, but computers were the step too far for them. We went from TV to Computers, but now what computers are being used for is the step too far.

Must be a special day... My psycho cat posed for me.

With every nomination for appointment that T is putting forth, why do I have this gut feeling that they're all just taunting and getting back at the 'Me too!' movement. Is he really that petty and holds grudges that long to 'stick it' to everyone because he got caught and punished for doing wrong?

1/ It's almost as if T is trying to get the health system towards 'use whatever non-covered stuff you can' up until the point where you need major medical intervention such as surgeries, long hospital stays, etc. With his promotion to the cabinet of multiple snake-oil medical wonder products, it's

Still don't believe the number of times I'm explaining the basics of tariffs to people who should know better, or at least feel 'well informed' because they follow social media. When I ask where they got their info on the impact of tariffs before me, the answer is almost invariably Fox News or X

One of the problems right now with social media is that people become instantly famous by being on the edgy side of the news, rather than just telling news and becoming famous by building a following. There is almost zero incentive for being factual and right

My big question Trump likes putting up trial balloons who are horrid to see what he can get away with. If he's putting up these guys as cabinet members to make the ones he wants seem palatable - how bad and crazy are those going to be for the positions that get shot down that he nominated so far?

Hi all! I'm a 64 yr old former accountant, disabled for the last 20 yrs with an orphan disease. I'm an eternal optimist, and believe that science should outweigh opinion: Even if the masses say that 2+2=5, will still put 4 as the answer because there are things bigger than what people believe.

I would just like the person who is going to head up HHS to have studied the human body and/or mind for years, studied how to cure it of disease and injury, and have taken an oath to 'do no harm.' Instead it seems that we're going to get a guy who's medical opinion is based on a few TikTok searches

Remember that rules and regulations tend to be there for a reason. Someone tried something that hurt or financially damaged someone else, and a rule or reg was made to keep it from happening. Remove the rules and regs and confidence in our food, our protections against predatory people disappear
