Climbed atop the famous Spanish Steps in Rome 🇮🇹, and lit a candle in the Trinità dei Monti in honor of my father, who passed away last year, My dad’s life was infinitely more valuable than the 1 Euro offering for the candle, but a worthwhile remembrance nonetheless. 💔🕯️🕊️

Even for an agnostic like me, raised in the Protestant church, easily the best thing about Rome 🇮🇹 are the breathtaking churches, literally on every corner. This is the fifteenth church we’ve randomly visited last two days. Helps soothe the soul and lift the spirits. 🙏🏼🌍🕊️

Became a huge fan of legendary Italian 🇮🇹 director Federico Fellini’s films while in college in California decades ago. So blessed to visit the Trevi Fountain in Rome, made famous in La Dolce Vita, the 1960 film with Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni. 🙏🏼🌍🕊️
