One thing that's gotten a bit lost in the mini obituaries is that in addition to obviously being one of the founding forces behind RPGs and ARPGs, Falcom is now one of, if not THE, last Japanese developers left standing that got their start as a computer store in the 80s that dabbled in game dev.
