Correction on my previous post. It was a national story but it aired on KGW-NBC affiliate. Now our local Fox station is picking it up. Fire is a big deal here. Local stations can still focus on impact on their communities though.

People are tuning out national news and not understanding the implications of what is going on. . Encourage your local stations to cover this and be specific about effects on their communities. KGW had a great interview with a Forest Service fire manager talked about this.

Remember the Trail of Tears? Andrew Jackson refused to obey a supreme court decision that the Cherokee could keep their land. If Trump defies the courts, what do you think is going to happen if Trump wants your land, or ignores your rights? There is nothing to stop him since the Republicans won't.
