Successful day at Whanganui Zine Fest! Promoting Whanganui Film Society & the upcoming Lit. Whanganui Booklovers Festival (19-21 Sep) Plus our own zines, which I had a blast making!

Evening drinkies in my backyard. Such a pleasant temperature (Please ignorance vast tract of grass. We've only been in the place 1 year & still planning the garden plantings to come)

#nzpol The problem is the guy in the lower right of the pic....

A very prescient picture we saw at Auckland Art Gallery today in the Modern Women show. A Lois White - War Makers, 1937 "The paintings silent jive and atmosphere of inevitably sent a clear anti war message, provoking viewers to consider their own role in the looming global conflict"

If you see this, post something pink

RonRon having a FA&FO time. RIP blow-up paddling pool (hopefully I can find the holes & patch them, so it'll last the rest of summer...)

3.30pm Boxing Day. Time to smash some more cheese

Meri Kirihimete everyone! We can't be with family, so we started the day with good friends, biking/skating the Cemetery Circuit in Whanganui before the motorbikes take over the town tomorrow. Offsets the coming cheesefest too!

I just finished the cheesecake for tomorrow's brunch & I think it's onemof my best efforts. Now I can relax

This hypocritical beearch, turning up & getting a personal tour of our gallery, when she's just cut funding for arts, and devalued arts education across the board....... www.nzherald.co.nz/whanganui-ch...

My garden this morning in Whanganui 🌱🇳🇿

After we've been out, these 2 like to take us on an inspection tour of the property and tell us all about what has gone on. Particularly after the lawn mower man has been! "He mowed here, then he mowed here, and over there too!"

Well, that was some weekend! What a triumph & kudos to the Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery team for pulling off an exemplary opening celebration! From dawn blessings to midnight dj sets. Amazing

Today Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery in Whānganui re-opened after a 10 year strengthening & extension project. It's glorious! So proud of my adopted little city

The kuaka are back on Whanganui awa!

Exactly 1 month to go! I'm excited to see the building restoration & the new wing. The lineup is impressive. Get to the WAG if you can, for a summer of art (and there's plenty of other stuff to do here too) sarjeant.org.nz
