Dude take a nap

We could do it again.

I’m halfway through my first full watch of The Sopranos and I can’t stop trying to ape Paulie Walnuts’ hand gestures. The pinky, index finger point combo is his magnum opus.

@hotdogsladies.bsky.social @alexcoxfm.bsky.social Longtime powder nation member. I just remembered you guys talking about wanting to play Tiny Glade (or some other Shire-builder?) and I meant to mention GeForce Now as a way you might be able to. It’s basically really good cloud gaming.

Halftime show is a good reminder that the left will always win culture. Always. Art comes from curiosity, novelty, openness, the ability to understand & juxtapose multiple perspectives simultaneously, surprise & irony & layered meanings, all of which are alien to the authoritarian mind.

The city of Asheville is finally getting ready to consider some much-needed pro-housing reforms. We need your help to send a message that half-measures aren’t going to cut it. We will walk you through the survey so you can complete it in less than ten minutes: https://buff.ly/3WiSenX

A real pain was so fucking good. "Blork" might be the single greatest one word line in call of cinema. Also, inside me are two wolves and they are in this movie.

Bring back "sue me"

The Agency sealed the deal for me when they had a beautifully tense psychological scene about sanity vs insanity and then cut scene to inside a theatre showing Catch 22. It's on the nose but in a way that I think is actually interesting and rewarding.

@hotdogsladies.bsky.social this may be pertinent to your interests.

happy "unearthing the bizarre politics of the shooter" day to all who celebrate the great American tradition

Sounds like a couple who’ve written a letter to the Telegraph about how they can only go skiing once a year because school fees have gone up

This place is too cozy, so let me be a little provocative: In the last 5 years or so, the climate movement had the opportunity to pivot away from No No No (fighting/blocking things) to Yes Yes Yes (supporting abundance, more RE, more housing, more building). But ...

when zz top said "a-haw haw haw haw" i really felt that

Remember that part in Holes by Louis Sachar when they say the worst hole you dig isn't the first one but the second one because that's when you realize you'll be doing the same thing over and over

Gentle Giants pet food packaging looks like it was designed by someone for whom graphic design is *not only* a passion, but *also* a diagnosable illness. And that person is: founder Burt Ward, who played Robin in the 1966-1968 run of Batman, opposite Adam West. He sounds like a kind-hearted man...

Imagine what Jesus could have accomplished with AI

Just a phenomenal piece by @davidjroth.bsky.social here: defector.com/men-on-the-v...

This goes hard

This 100%. In a healthy two-party system a party’s power reflects their popular support and they have the actual power to carry out that will. If people don’t like what they do they vote them out. Democrats need to use their power to level the playing field and reduce veto points in the system.

That inflation is back to a normal historical level of 2% is a phenomenal achievement. This is literally only the 2nd time in American history that we have dramatically reduced inflation w/out causing a recession. It is a massive achievement and success by the Biden administration.

Not looking for sympathy (obviously lol) but as a cishet white man it is a baffling experience to see how Project 2025 contains a targeted attack on every single person who doesn’t look like me. Speaking purely selfishly I do not want to live a world devoid of all the people who make America great.

Budget vice chair didn’t sleep last night cuz he was too excited about the absolutely zinger of a reverse acronym he worked all weekend on. I got a better one for you: Dsuck Eshit Iyouabsoluteghoul
