It’s the most bestest time of the year! Not the Cherry Blossoms! What we’re offering has less tripods and tourists to trip over and significantly less pollen. Here’s YOUR opportunity to table at THE premiere event for Graphic Novels, The Comic Arts and Cartooning: SPX! Good luck to you all! 🤞

Out on the bike today before the wind kicks up again. A quick view of the Denver skyline and Rocky Mountains from a pedestrian overpass somewhere north of the city, along Washington Street, in Thornton, CO.

The iconic Twin Donuts Neon sign against a clear blue Allston Sky.

Probably my favorite video.

My latest comic for @nytimes.com went live online today! Look for it in print in a couple of weeks. The Delft Blue tile panels and general ode to the stroopwafel are a love letter to my adopted country. 🇳🇱 😋 #comics #stroopwafel #iamanimmigrant #nederland

Another week trying to make comics in spite of the hellscape. I have at least found my forever ‘25 expression in Ealga’s (last sketch) & spent TOO MUCH time on a new banner but was also listening to Ash Sarkar’s MINORITY RULE so calling it time not wasted. Hope you all managed to get through too.

Was just interviewed by the new Denverse Magazine Aloud podcast, talking about some of the bars and history around the city (specifically along East Colfax.) Pretty happy that I kept my “ummmss” to a minimum. The podcast is also available on Apple and Spotify. denverse.substack.com/p/a-guide-to...

Looking out over The City. Some pencils from the upcoming IN THE CITY comic.

Next stop: Wonderland. Another late night in The City with yet another long silent subway trip back home. While dirty, still thankful that the train car is empty as you are lulled by the swaying of the journey on the tracks. The cover illustration for my new comic IN THE CITY, Part Four.

This is great news. Relieved for Becky & her family. Hope they get lots of help & support. The impact it’s had on UK creators in going to US cons etc cannot be underestimated. People are too scared to travel there now. What a devastating & pointless place to put the US in.

SCORPIO VENUS RISING #3 is available now! Snag one in my shop 🦂🧛🏻‍♂️🌞 NYC peeps can pick up a copy at Forbidden Planet 👁️💀👁️ corinnehalbert.bigcartel.com #scorpiovenusrising #comicbooks #cartoonist #comicbookartist

Was wandering Tattered Cover on East Colfax & spotted the latest Denver Life Magazine with my illustration of some of the Lower Highlands neighborhood on the cover. Inside, are another 5 illustrations of other areas around the city along with a short interview.

I did a series of illustrations of Denver neighborhoods for the latest (& ‘Best Places to Live’) issue of Denver Life Magazine, as well as an additional small interview for the piece. The issue should be hitting newsstands this week! Black cat demanding attention not included with the magazine.

Proofs for my new comics are in! IN THE CITY (Part 4), K&K wander happy hours, hearing stories, & meeting characters that make The City interesting. Also, the 2nd print of IT’S OOLA!! Both debut at Brooklyn Indy Comics Showcase in April. Oola also wants all to be certain on which comic she prefers.

Cleaned up & reorganized my work area, got rid of spare papers, & shelved all the random books & comics that were scattered haphazardly around the floor. Once peace was restored, the black void slowly crept in & Oola reclaimed her rightful and preferred lounging space … and all is good in the world.

“Sometimes I think it’s good to just be quiet.” Looking out with strong cup of coffee over The City with all its various people just going about their day. Some panels from the new IN THE CITY comic. Coming soon.

Walking into a loud crowded bar. Ordering drinks and awkward conversations as you make your way through the crowd. Just killing time until the band shows up. They always run late. A colored comic spread for the next IN THE CITY comic. Coming soon.

The proof for the new IN THE CITY, Part Four comic showed up! Always amazing to hold something that you’ve been working on for months. Going through & making edits, but looks pretty brilliant. Still on schedule for the book to debut in late April at the Brooklyn Independent Showcase (April 26-27)!

I wrote on @boingboing.bsky.social about British cartoonist R.E. Burke, who has been jailed by ICE. - boingboing.net/2025/03/11/b...

Comics People! R.E Burke (Becky of @brokenfrontier.bsky.social ) has been detained unreasonably by ICE - 11 days & counting - Please share / Donate or help raise coverage & get her home to the UK. Thank you! gofund.me/1b0a8622

My newest review on @brokenfrontier.bsky.social examines the most recent anthology from @dominocomics.bsky.social, CREASE. @cccilla.bsky.social and Alfred Jarry are just one of the incredible collaborations you'll find there.

Perched a top Desmond Mule Deer (and his fetching Red Sox cap), Oola looms over all, surveying her vast domain of the bedroom. From the bookcases to the porch, all is under her command. (Actually, I think she was hunting moths.)

"Too constantly changing, too fluid and intimately connected as a feature of the alternative music world, too irrevocably wedded to the present — it felt as if obstacles would simply flow through him." Damo Suzuki forged a path outside of mainstream pop and rock:

Dropkick Murphys just had an epic moment at their show: They made a friendly wager with a fan in a MAGA shirt—“Let’s see where it’s made.” Then they checked his MAGA shirt tag… Made in Nicaragua. They swapped it with a Made in America Dropkick Murphys tee. Legendary.

East Colfax may be choked with fences, pylons, and construction; but we still have the sunset. Just caught it this evening as it passed over the Rocky Mountains.

A Tom Waits Classic: “Tom Traubert’s Blues” (Live 2025) #blogpost

On this day in 1978, the first episode of Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio series aired on BBC Radio, beginning a journey that would see the concept developed and adapted for novels, stage shows, comic books, television, computer games, and film. Don't Panic.

Random overheard conversations in a very loud crowded bar. A page from my comic IN THE CITY, Part Four. (Out this spring!)
