meanwhile over at X: the smaller "concerned citizens" accounts have to PAY Elon and SPONSOR their postings, so that SOMEONE with a real opinion MIGHT actually see those and MIGHT get angry about this nonsense and comment, but nobody seems to care haha...

Putting a face to what you read in the news. Until last Friday, I served our nation working as a Research Ecologist with the US Geological Survey (USGS). As a federal scientist, I provided robust, defensible information to support good decisions in natural resource management.

These aren’t particularly Trump unfriendly outlets. These are basic sources of news. The Musk-Trump regime wants complete information control for people in the state department. Tucking your head in the sand doesn’t change the world. And not knowing the state of the world will lead to disasters.

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%. The actual number is less than 1%. Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.
