Today in Japan, if you're from Kanto and practice Shinto, is the Festival of Broken Needles. Women of the house gather the tiny, broken household things, (like needles)and place these in a shrine or on an altar, as gratitude of how they make everyday life easier, run smoothly.

Genuinely one of my favourite Beast Wars toys. The Mammoth is an enormous chonky brick of an elephant, and the humanoid mode looks every bit the resigned in loco parentis, rocking Tonfa ready to absolutely clonk the snot out of anyone messing with the innocent. The very ideal of a Cybertron leader.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

What Trump is proposing is ethnic cleansing. All governments must call it out for what it is and stand unequivocally against it. This shows why we can never cosy-up to or support Donald Trump. He's shown total contempt for human rights and is now actively promoting crimes against humanity.

When the Patriot Act was passed, libraries got requests for patrons’ borrowing history. We were prohibited from disclosing those requests. We deleted and shredded those records and stopped tracking reading history for that reason. ALSO.
