Mabel has mastered the breed standard look- No, I'm not talking about the psycho Collie attitude. She's part Beagle too- and these are the Beagliest of Beggy Beagle eyes I've seen in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. Too bad that's my spot and I am more than willing to lift her 40lbs butt up for snuggles.

Getting to call Mabel up into my bed and just hold her and have her melt into me is such a surreal feeling. I haven't owned a dog this size since Vyrgo, I SWORE I would never own another dog this size, but as soon as I saw Mabel I HAD to have her, my soul cried out for her, and now I have her.

Tomorrow will be the big test to see if Mabel's coat is thick enough to protect her from our winter temperatures. If she's cold at the end of our walk, she'll NEED a coat to be able to safely continue walkies. Walkies are needed because she's a Collie mix. There are some cute options on her Throne!

$162 and a lot of cheese spray from the vet later, and... Mabel's remaining retained baby tooth should fall out on its own, it will be pulled during spay if not. She has an ear infection (we have meds now) She's overweight (knew that) Vet says I'm doing everything right so far 💜
