A not so great day but still a nice walk at the arboretum.

Federal numbers: The Poll Tracker now puts the margin between the two parties in single-digits for the first time since September 2023.

Sorry … WHY is there no baseball on my TV this afternoon when I am working from home before election night? It’s like Sportsnet doesn’t even CARE about me!

I did not agree to this.

In our park, people have created a path in the snow by walking over it. It’s not cleared, but it’s something. Someone (or multiple ppl) allowed their dogs to poop on this path. To those people: I hope your next special meal (bday, anniversary, etc) tastes like wet dirt and is deeply unsatisfying.

It will be interesting to see if this forecast (for Kitchener) impacts voter turnout tomorrow:

I think I’ve seen this film before …

I love not wearing a coat!

I’m not saying you need to get outside for a walk, but you probably should. It’s gorgeous out!

Alejandro Kirk's framing is so smooth... It fooled Max Scherzer. 🤣

Miss you, Danny! But also, I'm happy for him.

Here's the latest from me in this election ... and I'll note there's an expert who warns strategic voting might not work ... www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

So Day One of election week brought: * Waterloo Green candidate endorsing NDP candidate. * Kitchener-Conestoga Green candidate endorsing NDP candidate. * Liberal candidate in Kitchener-Conestoga had his vehicle defaced with request for him to step aside. What will Tuesday bring?

Seeing video tonight from the Kitchener-Conestoga debate in New Hamburg, Brayden Wagenaar of the Greens has officially endorsed Jodi Szimanski of the NDP. Two Greens in Waterloo region in one day endorse their NDP rivals.

NDP Leader Marit Stiles to visit Waterloo region again tomorrow - it marks her 4th visit in four weeks. Crombie has been once. Ford has been once. Schriener … I’ve lost count but he’s also a local MPP but he has spent a lot of time in K-W.

Interesting turn of events in Waterloo: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

So ... Preliminary figures show 678,789 voters cast their ballot over three days of advance voting in this year's general election, representing 6.14% of eligible voters in Ontario. In 2022, 9.92% of eligible voters voted over 10 days. In 2018, 6.8% cast their ballot over 5 days of advance voting.

Nice to get out for a long walk outside the neighbourhood.

Every time Sophie gets on top of the snowbank I tell her: “please don’t poop please don’t poop please don’t poop please don’t poop.” And then she poops.

STOP! SNOWING!

Style choices of Canadian children in February …

I missed Buck.

Kirk with the RBI! It feels soooooo good to cheer for baseball.

I’m just a girl standing in front of mlb accounts asking them to post on here

I don’t love bobbleheads but this one is pretty great:

BTW for people worried about getting a voter card - if you download the Elections Ontario app (and you’re registered to vote) you can get an electronic copy of your VIC. But you don’t need the card to vote. You can go to any advance poll in your riding tomorrow - take ID with current address.

One of the officials at Victoria Road Rec Centre said they’ve have 500 people through so far today. Polls open until 8 pm today, 10-8 tomorrow.

Bobby’s in DTK playing the Yankees-Rays game on their outdoor screen is magical.

Something I think is really sweet: Each morning, after they're on CBC K-W for the candidate panels, the Liberal, NDP and Green candidates go for coffee together next door to our studio. I didn't see if the Kitchener-Conestoga people did it, but Cambridge, Kit Centre and Kit South-Hespeler have.
