Come to @yarnoclock.bsky.social in Mold tomorrow to see lots of my designs! I’ll be there from 10-4. I’ll have printed patterns to buy and samples to look at and Anne has LOADS of gorgeous yarn available if you don’t already have the ideal yarn for any patterns you choose.

Some of our special daffodils looking splendid today - there are two flowers on each stem.

Well this is a first! Because Anne at @yarnoclock2 has samples of so many of my designs on display already - including a full window! - I’ve been going through my sample bags removing samples I don’t need to take with me to the trunk show on Saturday!

This time next week I will have spent the day at Yarn O’clock in Mold! I will have as many patterns and samples as I can squeeze in - including Menai which launched as a single pattern yesterday, so come and say hello! 10am-4pm, lots of parking in the town & a weekly street market to enjoy too.

Menai is now available as an individual pattern! Find it on my website, Payhip and Ravelry. payhip.com/b/rldE8 If you’re a newsletter subscriber check your emails for a cheeky discount code! It’s only valid until 10am (BST) on Sunday so be quick! 1/3

Nearly missed that my Crenellate Shawl came out 2 weeks ago in Knit Now, issue 179! It’s a top down triangular shawl with a textured pattern & a garter stitch border. I used WYS Elements DK & I love the way the light highlights the texture - see last pic! The mag is on sale for 2 more weeks!

This week's blog post, "April Already", is now available. Find out how to sign up for a discount code for Menai and see the design that came out in the latest issue of Knit Now magazine!

Can’t wait!! Posted @withregram • @yarnoclock2 Not very clear but a window full of @kath_andrews_designs designs as Kath is going to be spending the day in the shop on Saturday 12th April… just in case you hadn’t heard 🥰. And remember the shop is now closed until Tuesday 8th April. See you then 😎

This week's blog post, Mixing It Up, is now available. I've been doing quite a lot of different things this week!

We enjoyed taking new photos of Menai today which I will be releasing as an individual pattern on April 4th. It was first published in The Knitter mag last October. There will be an exclusive subscriber discount for the first 24 hours so sign up to the newsletter if that sounds good to you! 1/2

I can hardly believe it’s nearly a week since EAYF & the brioche workshop I taught on Saturday. My students were tackling 2-colour brioche for the 1st time & they did so well! I am proud of them. I will also be giving this workshop at the North East Wool Show in August - all info on the website.

500 Miles The East Anglia Yarn Festival was fabulous and I think I enjoyed it even more than last year. I think it's so nice when you can do an event more than once, as things are more familiar the second time round. I had forgotten quite how… https://kathandrewsdesigns.com/2025/03/18/500-miles/

East Anglia Yarn Festival was fab. Thanks to Laura & team for making it so. Thanks to my lovely wife for being an ace booth babe as always! We had a great time talking to visitors and other vendors. Next is a trunk show at Yarn O’clock, Mold, April 12th, then Wonderwool Wales, April 26-27th.

This week's blog post, "Coming Together", is now available. If you have a spare three minutes, have a read!

The Imperial Cowl goes on general sale on Saturday 15th at 8am! There’s a 48-hr discount period for newsletter subscribers and the details are going out on Wednesday! Sign up before them if you’d like a cheeky discount on this pattern!

I decided my car knitting would be a new Imperial Cowl using my handspun yarn & it’s come out well! The pattern is on general release on Friday! There’s a time limited discount for subscribers. If that sounds good & you’ve not signed up - now’s the time! kathandrewsdesigns.com/about/subscr...

8 more rows of the border of my new sample of Elinor Hap Shawl, then it will be time for the edging! Just trying to decide whether this is a good choice for car knitting tomorrow or if I’d be better off with something less delicate!

Printing out patterns for East Anglia Yarn Festival which is in 10 days time!

This week's blog post, "The Siren Song of Spring", is now available!

Just two weeks to go until @eastangliayarnfestival and as well as exhibiting, I’ll be teaching too! Learn how to create the amazing & squishy fabric of two-colour brioche knitting. The workshop is 1-3pm on Sat 15th March. All details and booking are on eastangliayarnfestival.com!

Sleeves finished. 10 ends woven in. Seams and about another 80 ends to do later in front of the telly. Looking forward to wearing this which will power me through the finishing stage!

This week's blog post, "I Get Around", is now available. Have a read and see where you can find me during the next few months!

Come and say hello if you’ll be attending Wonderwool Wales in April! We’ll be in Hall 3 again 🧶🥰

Just finished Oceanus by Hanna Delaney - it’s fabulous! Highly recommend. And now I’ve also read the first 3 chapters of Spider (Hanna’s next book) and I’m hooked!

This week's blog post, "Oh, I do like to be beside the Seaside!", is now available!

All set up & ready for the North West Winter Wool Festival at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool this weekend! You can still get tickets on the door from 11am each day. Advance ticket entry is from 10am! There are 40 exhibitors and the local spinners, dyers and weavers guild here so lots to see!

Wearing one of my (6!) samples of The Imperial Cowl. Over 80 copies of this pattern have been downloaded by advance ticket holders for the North West Winter Wool Festival so I’m hoping I’ll be seeing plenty more versions of the cowl this weekend at the show in Blackpool!

Commemorate Black History Month with these beautiful and meaningful mittens by Lori Patterson. 🧶 Find the free pattern here: knitty.com/ISSUEw24/PAT... #BlackHistoryMonth

This week's blog post, "Blue like my Hair", is now available! What's your favourite colour?

I found 2 shoe boxes of old letters that are musty smelling. Some have sentimental value so I’m building up the energy (physical and emotional) to go through them, decide what I want to keep & scan them to the computer. In the meantime the box is sitting there looking at me from next to my desk.

We were working through our email recently and found a request to review @suefinch.bsky.social's #WelcomeToTheMuseumOfALife - it should have been sorted a LONG time ago. Apologies Sue! Enjoy this review peeps! It's a thorough one! thebrokenspine.co.uk/2025/02/02/b...

Excuse me while I do a little happy poet dance… Hugest thanks to @brokenspinearts.bsky.social thebrokenspine.co.uk/2025/02/02/b...

2nd batch of marmalade on its way! First made earlier today. It’s a long process!

County Shawl is a slip stitch shawl design I created using McIntosh Donegal 4ply yarn & was published last September. It’s available exclusively from James McIntosh in kit form in these 3 gorgeous colourways. County Shawl is based on a half Pi with tweaks to increase placement near the edge!
