It's wild that we've created a Covid sized recession without any sort of disaster to point to. The entire world froze for a year in 2020; obviously that was going to suck economically. This time, we were just bored I guess.

I survived the mosh pits at a Meshuggah concert and got pictures, AMA.

Crazy how my anxiety just disappeared after I finished college and made it to Chicago. I used to feel a literal wad of discomfort in my chest if I wasn't medicated for it.

A saga in 4 parts:

Hey, Pete Hegseth! Did you know that if you try to post your password on BlueSky, it gets censored automatically? Let me demonstrate: *********** You should try it!

Did some meal prep today! I even made two different sauces from scratch in a food processor (Hot honey mayo and garlic aioli with herbs). Feeling very responsible right now.

Teaching a kid how transposition works on piano using the lick, a decision I definitely won't regret later

The loop should be pedestrianized for St. Patrick's Day Weekend

Some market ETFs since January 20th. Miss him yet?

Cuomo's campaign announcement sounds like an intro to The Boys

Burning the planet for future generations... girlboss style

It isn't a DIY noise show in Chicago without a sampled monologue about capitalism

California Democrats could've avoided this by powering through to their original project completion date of 2020. With large infrastructure projects, every new presidential administration before completion is a round of Russian Roulette. Needless to say, you want to play as few rounds as possible.

I officially got the job today!

A student put together a frankenstein drum set out of the various clutter in the back of the room today, and I respect the enginuity. He even found a way to utilize the floor tom with a missing leg. For someone with no training in drumming, he's got some serious chops, too!

You know what won’t be lacking in funding? Sketchy edtech Always cash for that

Just set up a Waze account!

I want a new cozy hobby, but this feels like a really bad time to become a coffee nerd

I don't think a song releasing has immediately made me buy a concert ticket until now youtu.be/YfKlcLKDkz0?...

I just know he's going to take credit for this:

It feels strange going about my day then going home to read up on how the new fascist (and I use that word as non-euphemistically as possible) regime is taking shape. I knew this was going to be bad. I wasn't quite prepared for how quickly it's happening.

Spent this evening starting on inventory at the new high school gig. I've got my work cut out for me.

The war being waged against the scientific community began with academics within the Ivory Tower waging war against marginalized scholars and scholarship. 🤷🏿‍♀️ #academicsky #science #research #phd

My February prediction is that the Trump administration will go after the Wayback Machine and similar publicly accessible archives.

I just want to go back to the time shortly after Biden dropped out and everyone was making couch jokes. That was fun.
