Singing book review - 5/5 for this, aimed at total beginners. Very short but hugely practical and approachable, I'd buy this as a stocking filler for anyone beginning singing lessons for the first time. Lots of exercises available at the author's website too.

Interesting thoughts - I always remind singers that dynamics & expression make no sense in a vacuum, you can only have a forte if we know where the piano is for contrast. Using silence & slowness to contrast movement and loudness (in both rehearsal & performance) can be so effective. #choir #voice

We do need to be aware of menopause, and menopausal vocal change. To be prepared why not: ✏️- Keep a voice journal, tracking change during each menstrual cycle 🎙️- Record your voice periodically to note changes in quality 🗓️- Book a check-up session with a voice coach to monitor hormonal changes
