Re-watching Season 1 of "Andor" before Season 2 drops next week and boy does it have extra resonance now

It’s going to take me the next three days to process that Severance finale. Man, that was good shit.

A thing I love about humans is that we've always had a compulsive need to make art. We can't help it. It's who we are. We will never stop. (fish bowl from Iran, thirteenth century)

New vase shape out of the kiln today. It feels vaguely Star Trek-ish, which is on brand. #ceramics #pottery #pottersofbluesky

Cleaning out my cabinets and using up half-used bags of clay and I swear Laguna B Mix knows that I don’t like it because it endeavors to make my life as difficult as possible.

As much as Mark and Helly are the heart of #Severance, I find myself thinking more about Gretchen and Dylan. A tired wife and mother, having the chance to fall in love with her husband again. @benstiller.redhour.com

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. #ceramics #porcelain #walldecor

Happy Valentin’s day 😽❤️

Things that keep me sane

I’ve been working with raku clay the past few days in prep for an upcoming naked raku workshop and I don’t know how you wheel throwers do it. This clay is taking it personally that I’m not allowing it to destroy my hands. #handbuilding #pottery #ceramics

Fresh from the kiln today - a new style of cappuccino mug. I like the way the ruffled bottom turned out! #ceramics #pottery #pottersofbluesky #mug #morecoffeeplease

Emotional support cat, ready for duty.

Balancing making art with the absolute dumpster fire going on in my country right now is a challenge, friends. I’m having a hard time finding the drive to make a pretty vase for pretty flowers in the face of all this bullshittery.

Amateur electrician success. #cone6

From Lyndsay Rush

You start off being all oooh, ahhh clay is so fun and creative and I feel all artistic but end up becoming an amateur electrician.

Someone complimented my jacket tonight, to which I responded, “Thanks! It’s vintage.” Which I know because I bought it at Banana Republic in the 90s. I shall crumble into dust now.

Currently working on a wall piece to submit to a local art show with so many fiddly bits I really should just own up to liking fiddly work. Anywho, here’s a wall piece I made last year with black porcelain and gold luster. #pottery #ceramics #wallart #artistsofbluesky
