I just finished and I really liked the narrator, the writing is lovely and funny in a way I see so many people reach for and fall flat on &my only complaint is dumb/petty is that I hate when people say “I love you” to a bitch they’ve know 5 days but that’s on me for picking up a summer camp novel🤷‍♀️

My green flag is that unless it seems to be causing a real miscommunication, I’m not going to tell you I was trying to land a joke. It’s up to the audience if it was funny. I’m going to assume I didn’t pull it off vs the audience didn’t “get it” if I don’t get a laugh or at least a nose exhale.

Nothing really matches the catharsis of a deeply iddy fic where due to AU reasons someone needs a certain kind of sex to meet their needs and they haven’t had that in ages, if ever. The shame, the relief! Even if terribly written I can get into it. A well crafted version might kill me.
