Y’all, don’t use Signal as a catch-all term—it’s a specific app. They hacked something LIKE Signal but not Signal. It is still safe to contact people through Signal. You should absolutely talk about what they were using and the vulnerabilities there.

“We’re all here, we all see each other, we should know each other,” said one respondent.

“We’re not waste, we’re not garbage and we deserve equal rights like everyone else,” said one participant.

I’m just going to play Oblivion into Oblivion OK? Is that OK?

NEW in Bolts: People keep dying in the jail in Forth Worth. Law requires that an independent investigations into each death, but Bolts learned that hasn't been happening in years. A TX agency concedes they're not respecting the law, but says it can't do anything. Big new reporting:

This is the first in a series I’m working on about clean water access in unincorporated Stanislaus County. If you have tips, please DM me!

ICYMI, this was today: 16- and 17-year olds in Newark voted in local school board elections. Why? City lowered voting age for school board races last month, to help teenagers get involved in matters that concern them AND develop habit of civic engagement. boltsmag.org/newark-teens...

“I am so proud of Modesto, so proud,” one protester said.

Incredible reporting by my colleague.

The Postal Service employs between 250 and 500 workers in Stanislaus County.

25 hours and 5 minutes. The longest speech on the senate floor in US history.

Started playing Phogs with my husband. 10/10 no notes.

As reported, the entire staff of 538 was laid off this morning. This is a severe blow to political data journalism, and I feel for my colleagues. Readers note: As we were instructed not to publish any new content, all planned updates to polls data and averages are canceled indefinitely. Huge loss :(

What if someone could pay to influence discussions on Reddit, one of the most impactful social media platforms today? What if they could promote a product or political ideology—or make sure no one ever saw it? Thanks to Blake Lively, I found out they could. spitfirenews.com/p/the-blake-...

Kindly asking people to check to see if the media did in fact cover the thing that they are being told no one is reporting on.

On his first day in office, Trump suspended resettlement program signed into law by President Carter in 1980.

I am of the opinion that every children’s museum should have a night where it’s only open to adults and we just do crafts based on 90s video games etc. This is one of the best things I’ve gotten to do in Modesto tbh.

Didn’t know Eve6 guy lived in LA, but hats off. Enough said. Street cred solidified.

Trainings for volunteer positions will be held Wednesday and Thursday.

It IS possible to credit local news for their excellent original reporting while also adding context and thoughts of your own, you just need to actually credit them and not call it ‘breaking news,’ hope this helps.

Why am I trying to 100% Astrobot. For what? I have too many other things to do with my life… And yet…

The Post reviewed documents from 23 police departments and found that 15 departments spanning 12 states arrested suspects identified through AI matches without any independent evidence connecting them to the crime — in most cases contradicting their own internal policies. wapo.st/4fQYlXn
