NaNoWriMo Day 6: 2,547 of 50,000 I figure I'll just update when I have any progress. Honestly, I'm happy to breach 2,000 words at all, so small victories.

Realized after the fact that my NaNoWriMo plan will have to be amended to only weekday updates, because I am not home to write on the weekends lmao

NaNoWriMo Day 1: 1,013 of 50,000 I didn't reach my goal, but I haven't hit 1,000 words in one day in a LONG time, so I'm actually super proud of myself

Bet you think I forgot I'm tracking my NaNoWriMo progress, but jokes on you, I'm just a procrastinator

A guy in one of those inflatable T-Rex costumes just ran across Crenshaw Blvd and almost got hit by a bus and my wife said to my daughter "that's how the dinosaurs went extinct"

TREAT YOUR HEAD MEAT GOOD TODAY. LOOK AT PICTURES OF THE FAT RAT AND ACHIEVE HAPPY BRAIN CHEMICAL

“I’m going to be entirely honest with you: I hate you. Your deft handling of your unfortunate circumstances, your uniqueness, your ability to surpass me—all these irritate me.”

Of course Halloween is scary, people knock at your door. It could be anyone. Good luck.

This is the most beautiful pumpkin I've ever seen

this is why I think it's good to cast a vote for Kamala even in a safe blue state (or a red one) - the national narrative WILL change depending on margin, and a world where Trump came thisclose to winning again and a world where Kamala won by a lot play very differently with how his loss is treated

Pro tip: if you squint your eyes as hard as you possibly can, you can pretend there's another digit on your word count

going as A Parent Who Has His Shit Together for Halloween I know this is significantly less plausible than a vampire but I like to stretch the bounds of fantasy

Hey folks: Be careful out there tonight. I bought a razor blade and it had a Snickers in it.

Creeks has arrived for fulfilment!

On Halloween 1917 hotels in Pennsylvania were forbidden to give away souvenirs, but that did not stop people from partying in Philadelphia. The Inquirer: “Girls who ordinarily would shy at the showing of an ankle, hesitated not last night in displaying enough calves to make the stock yards jealous.”

Absolutely thrilled to have my artwork "Pack" on the cover of the November issue of Small Wonders. #Art #DarkArt #Writing

Writing Tip: Nobody is perfect at writing from the start. It takes time, practice and determination to hone and master, like any skill. Even the greatest writers of our age started small and had to work their way up. Don't be discouraged and press on! #writing #writingtips #writingcommunity

Keeping this one in my thoughts for sure

Casting of Frank Stone has the worst pacing of any of the choose your own adventure / movie games I've played so far. 3+ hours of setup going nowhere. The game is like 6 hours long.

Milan Kundera, slow down my friends

Starting tomorrow, I will be documenting my NaNoWriMo journey here for the sole purpose of motivating myself to actually do it. Good luck to me and really anyone else trying to find the strength to try 😂

This app is wild, dudes. It’s basically OC town, I’m actually getting to see all my friend’s art on my feed. People I’ve never met before are seeing my doodles. I’m not being bombarded with misery all the time. I love it.
