Pleased to support Eastwood’s motion on clean energy at this critical point. Scotland’s environment and economy needs a new direction 🌹

Great to chat with @blairmcdougall.com & @kayleighmq.bsky.social about how we can end hunger in Scotland.

Delighted to watch a Labour Prime Minister address #ScotLab25 finally!

Great to have @darrenpjones.bsky.social join me and @blairmcdougall.com campaigning in Crookfur for better mobile signal and talking to residents about the biggest budget settlement since devolution delivered by the Labour Government 🌹📶📈

UK Islamophobic assaults surged by 73% in 2024, anti-hate crime charity reports

First campaign session as a candidate done! We kicked off in my own community in Crookfur. I’m working with @blairmcdougall.com to improve the poor phone signal here which is seeing local people unable to use medical equipment or call for help in an emergency. survey.labour.org.uk/udlufaklrbnb...

Absolutely delighted for Aidan who will be an amazing local champion for his community! ❤️

Not from my husband! But from lovely members of Eastwood CLP 🌹 first campaign session on Saturday morning, let me know if you want to join us!

Excellent news ❤️🌹

“William’s story was one of intergenerational trauma & of the lies Scotland tells itself about its treatment of its most vulnerable children.” My @londonreview.bsky.social longread on the Polmont suicides & our failing youth justice system is the culmination of 6 years’ work & means a lot to me.

Incredible to hear expert witness in front of us on Foreign Affairs Select Committee say that she thought Elon Musk was potentially a bigger disinformation threat to the UK than Putin's Russia. 1/2 www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politic...

Have Shopify clarified what they will do with the money they earned as a % of sales of Kan*e West’s antisemitism?

Day one as Labour’s Eastwood candidate: speaking to Network Rail about the ongoing EK Line Enhancement and listening to concerns from local people affected by changes to their communities that will have a lasting impact beyond the 16 weeks of works.

Delighted to have been selected as Labour’s candidate in Eastwood for the Holyrood elections next year alongside my good friend and constituency neighbour in Renfrewshire West & Levern Valley 🌹 @pfokane.bsky.social

somehow wrong that you can apply for the role of Black Rod on LinkedIn

Still light for afternoon walk today! Capelrig Burn very high and had to distract a certain snoot from some ducks, first I’ve seen them here.

Too late to be phoning people, so it’s time for ironing and Real Housewives for some well deserved brain rot.

Voting has officially started in Eastwood & Renfrewshire West to pick our candidates for 2026! 🌹 Feels very real to be receiving this from members backing my campaign ❤️

Taking this apart for the last time to give to another family 🥹

Random professor 😭

Getting the step count up delivering surgery leaflets in Barrhead for @blairmcdougall.com

Honestly, what a mess the Scottish Government has made of this. All because they didn’t want to engage with businesses. And now supermarkets are removing the infrastructure they built for the scheme, creating more waste!

Just voted for Francesca Brennan for the @scottishlabour.bsky.social executive committee ❤️🌹

Temporary accommodation is killing children. 74 children in England died between 2019-2024 with temporary accommodation listed as a contributing factor to their death. It’s time to end child homelessness. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

80 years after the liberation of Auschwitz I have been reflecting today on my own trip there with @het.org.uk fourteen years ago. The day itself really imprinted on my life, but importantly we were shown the insidious nature of hate and educated by survivors on life leading up to Auschwitz.

When the 4 Non Blondes said “And so I wake in the morning and I step outside, and I take a deep breath and I get real high and I scream from the top of my lungs WHAT’S GOIN ON?!” I really felt that.

Wanted a new garden gate anyway 🙃

I was proud to introduce a Deposit Return Scheme for plastic and metal drinks containers. The Tories voted against it. Their former Defra ministers didn't even bother to turn up. Don't worry though, we're cleaning up their mess.

Slater, Hogg and Howison emailing over 4 hours into a severe weather warning to say they’re closing their office for the day. Certainly a choice.

Not just some people, but all people—on Earth—must watch this video and share it as widely as possible. Every word of it is true, and it confirms that Elon Musk is a white supremacist leader stoking violence around the world. His two televised Nazi salutes were exactly what you thought they were.

Very excited 4yo getting her iPad’s emergency alert during Gabby’s Dollhouse 😅 “mummy I think it’s the storm!”

BREAKING: @thesun.co.uk has reached a settlement agreement with Lord Watson and Prince Harry to avoid trial over allegations of phone hacking, illegal activity and a cover up at The Sun and The News of the World. www.hackedoff.org/blog-posts/v...

Since announcing my diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer a few weeks ago I’ve become increasingly aware of how misunderstood the condition is. So I want to debunk a few misconceptions: 1/7 (short posts!)

Abhorrent

Did anyone hear Musk at the rally last night? The charisma and presence of a dishcloth.

Blue Monday and a Trump Inauguration 😓

Ok, here’s why I miss The Bad Place: Virgin Media are leaving us without TV or internet access for four weeks. I feel like a tweet would’ve prompted them to send someone to fix quicker or provide a 5G hub but they’re not even on here to see my silly little skeet.

Great morning in Barrhead chatting to local people on the doors about everything from roads and parking to waiting lists in our NHS. Lots of agreement about the need for a new direction for Scotland.
