Not condoning anything they did - they were brutal and killed people callously and recklessly. Just - until now they've always been somehow older, more in control, less swept away by love and youth and stupidity when I saw the black & white version of the image.

The way the photo has been enhanced and colourised has made it possible for me to imagine them as living, breathing people. I can imagine them being so caught up in each other that the killing and their own deaths seemed worth it in a way I have never been able to before.

Perhaps you could encourage people who appreciate the arts to come so that volunteer staff can benefit from fantastic levels of exposure at the same time. I'm lead to believe it makes the career completely worthwhile & also, somehow, allows one to pay for housing, food, necessities & even luxuries.

Ooooh! Ooooh! Do you know what you should do? Get people with cool beards to work there for you! Ideally, those who are so cool that interaction with customers is genuinely impossible to predict. Also - vegan cakes.

Genuinely? It’s a slight relief not to be hearing the more extreme “you didn’t see what you think you saw” rubbish on the daily from U.K. politicians (although it’s been more than replaced by the Tango W*nker and his ilk). Glad Rwanda policy is gone. Actual day to day life? No, not really.

I reckon my neighbours could actually hear the sound of my soul compressing under the crushing weight of hope and despair as I tried to insert the worktop into the slot created which did not exist in any form big enough for the worktop to slot into.

Not the installation of the new vinyl - I have never done anything like it and I’d be terrified of ruining the flooring. Doing everything else though - including replacing random gaps in the sub floor (some of which have required some quite creative jigsawing, I have to say!)

Yes. Watching your own sweat dripping down the inside of a door as you have conversations with yourself is much less glamorous than I was lead to believe.
