I love when mechanics enforce narrative, and vice versa. While fighting through a dungeon in D&D, I asked the DM, "Is it dawn yet? Has the sun risen?" My DM was like, "You're underground, why?" Me: "Some of my magic items recharge at dawn." Just cool that a wizard would keep track of that!

Mordenkainen's Faithful Hound got updated in D&D 5e 2024, now you can move it! The spell creates an intangible, invulnerable hound that can bite enemies. In the game I play, spirits are real and usually bind to people and places. So, I'll summon a dog spirit and make a new friend!
