A few friends and I have started a bit of a video game “book club” where we play through a chapter/part and meet up in a voice call to discuss it. We’re starting out with Mother 3 which I’ve never played before. It does have some heavy themes at times, but also some fun scenes as well.

Happy 35th anniversary to one of my favourite series, Fire Emblem! I had first bought the original game through my Japanese 3DS’ virtual console, but never beat it until the 30th anniversary on the Famicom NSO service. It’s been fun playing through the game over the years!

So I guess the glitches from the start of this journey where I recruited Arran, Samson, and Xane have returned in the final chapter after reviving double Darros last chapter. Turns out it did a number of things here. #FireEmblem #NintendoSwirch

Here are the end credits of Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light with Samson and Arran’s epilogue after reviving Samson with the Aum staff! (Normally not possible to get both) I tested double Darros for the end credits too, but unfortunately there wasn’t any extra entry. #FireEmblem #NintendoSwitch

Had to try out the Aum staff glitch really quick and get a second Falchion. I had actually discovered it 5 years ago and some similarities related to it helped me understand the Arran/Samson recruitment glitch when I experimented with it too due to a link in the x-axis and the weapon/unit you get.

Ok this is very interesting. Along with Samson, I could also revive Darros even though Xane was technically counted as him. And this time there don’t appear to be any further glitches occurring! Definitely need to test the double Darros combo! #FireEmblem #NintendoSwitch

While doing some testing, I found out that using the glitch that changed Xane into a different unit (Darros in this case) took the growth rates too so I was able to increase the weapon level as a Freelancer. (Xane normally has a 0% growth in the stat) #FireEmblem #NintendoSwitch
