#MorningPrayer Take from us, Lord, the temptation and the propensity to devalue others in pursuing our own selfish agenda. Help us always to see the worth of each person, for all bear your image, all are held in your love. Fill us with passion to pursue the goods of your kingdom.

Sunday Homily (Year A Readings) - "Light and Darkness: A Divine Drama." I reflect on the healing of the blind man (Jn 9:1-41) as a divine drama played out on the human stage. The overarching theme is light & darkness. As Jesus says, "I am the light of the world." www.itemissaest.org/resources/su...

#MorningPrayer Give us the vision, Lord, to understand your ways with minds attuned to your kingdom, and hearts aligned with your love; help us to see with your perspective, that our attitudes and actions, our words and our ways, may be full of your grace, your mercy, your peace.

Reflection for Saturday of the 3rd week of Lent - "Humble Exaltation." The scripture readings are Hosea 16:1b, 6-7 10-13, and Luke 18:9-14. Humility does not lie in considering ourselves less than others, rather, giving others the respect and dignity they deserve. youtu.be/-QPQ-HydziQ

March 27 Scripture Just before today's gospel (Lk 11:14-23), Jesus had taught the "Our Father," and to pray for the Holy Spirit. Some of Luke's audience missed it. Instead, they accuse Jesus of doing miracles by Beelzebul and the evil Spirit. God was in front of them and they missed it. Do we too?

Pray for us today… retreat with 54 high school juniors. Seniors are leading the retreat! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hey Catholic friends, you should be seeing this notice in your Passion worship materials this coming Holy Week. An excellent mandate from the USCCB from 2 years ago, that started being put into practice last year.

No matter what anybody does, always stand with the poor, the vulnerable, those struggling to survive! It’s how we know we are on God’s side.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion honors us all, and in my book, that honors God. It's even in the name! DEI, quia Imago Dei! (Latin translation: "Of God, because (it is) the Image of God!")

A wish for us all. ''..Let there be an opening into the quiet that lies beneath the chaos Where you find the peace you did not think possible and see what shimmers within the storm..'' ―John O'Donohue

Pray for us St Patrick Heal us and make this world a peaceful place, today! Listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeVE...

"Come on people now! Smile on your brother. Every body get together. Try to love one another right now." - Thank you for these wise words Jesse Colin Young. And for all your gifts. Your life was a blessing.

Yes! We need protest songs!

Pray for us St. Patrick, for we, too, are being forced to dance with snakes.

HERMITAGE RULE 17: Have your heart fixed on God and when you endure hardship or suffer loss, whatever it may be, don't feel sorry for yourself nor reflect on it. Transcend the pain of this world, respecting and accepting the level of each thing.

So proud that he is my senator

Something beautiful

#MorningPrayer Draw us, Lord, to the nourishing and nurturing sustenance you offer in the bread of life, in the gift of love, in the light you shine to guide us. Keep us from seeking that which will never satisfy; turn our hearts to the goods of your kingdom, to living your love.

😥😥😫

My God..,how do we stop him?

The world we once knew is being eaten up by rust No-one has time for the past But still in God they trust The future is now But it's all going wrong Bodies queue for nothing But it's to nothing they belong

#MorningPrayer Inspire us, Lord, to follow you; not in search of the things our ego demands for ourselves, but in pursuit of your call: to join in the work of your kingdom, to share your grace, mercy and peace with all, to be living into and living out your love, wherever we are.

Lord, make us instruments of your peace: Where there is fear, let us sow love; where there is falsehood, truth; where there is greed, generosity; where there is intolerance, hospitality; where there is divisiveness, community; where there is oppression, liberation. Amen.

They're locking them up today They're throwing away the key I wonder who it'll be tomorrow, you or me? We're all normal and we want our freedom Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom All of God's children gotta have their freedom

Mar 12 Scripture Today's scripture readings are what I describe as "simply powerful" or "powerfully simple." Jonah preached repentance and the Ninevites repented. Jesus preached repentance to the people (Lk 11:29-32) and they were unlike the Ninevites. Today, Are we hearing the call to repentance?

Reflection for Saturday after Ash Wednesday - Become Better People. youtu.be/rFvQhbFHGpU

March 8 Scripture God invites us to remove oppression, false accusation, malicious speech; to give bread to the hungry and care for the afflicted (Is 58 9-10). Those who accused Jesus of "eating with tax-collectors and sinners" are the people we should not imitate. May Lent make us better people.

I feel your frustration

March 6 Scripture Today's readings revolve around life and death. Whereas Deut 30:15-20 invites us to "choose life," Jesus says, "Whoever chooses life must lose it" (Lk 9:23). Life does not lie is self-preservation but making each day of life a selfless act of love and service for God and the poor.

What a photo. Green must be the start of something, not the end.

The #Ashes remind us of who we are, which does us good. It puts us in our place, smooths out the rough edges of our narcissism, brings us back to reality, and makes us more humble and open to one another. None of us is God; we are all on a journey. #Lent vatican.va/content/france…
