Please read—this is becoming serious!

Trump is a vile coward and an absolute disgrace. Not one ounce of sympathy for anyone who voted for this monster. America will not be great again for a very long time. Stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦

Today, a reporter from the Russian state news agency TASS gained unauthorized access to the Oval Office. How does one gain unauthorized access to the Oval Office? Meanwhile, AP and Reuters were blocked.

Word of the Day is ‘ingordigiousness’ (18th century): extreme greed at the expense of principles.

They should be criminally charged for endangering lives.

I had a great time chatting about Lost and especially Sawyer on @themagicboxpod.bsky.social - if you’re a Lost fan this pod is for you!

Host @rmuldrake.bsky.social welcomes guest Katie Doe to discuss her #LOST journey Katie shares her fandom and reflects on her favourite episodes. #wehavetogoback #losties #lostfans open.spotify.com/episode/5JIb...

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Fuck Donald Trump.

Quick, someone change the locks at the White House.

Don’t say you’re anti-DEI. Say the quiet part out loud. Say you’re pro-racism, sexism, bigotry, elitism, and mediocrity.

Went to a sold out concert last night by one of my favorite groups (bonus, they’re from Québec), with a joyful and supportive audience. After the oppressing awfulness these past few weeks, it was cathartic. Support music! Support the arts and artists! ❤️

If Dante combined all his circles of hell into one, it still wouldn’t be enough for 🍊🤡 Limbo Circle two - lust Circle three - gluttony Circle four - greed Circle five - wrath Circle six - heresy Circle seven - violence Circle eight - fraud Circle nine - treachery and betrayal

Ayanna Pressley: "I want to say to our Republican colleagues -- pay attention. We're here today in the hopes that you will see the light. But if you do not see the light, we will bring the fire. Resist!"

Crockett: What we’re not going to do is stand around while they pull this bullshit that they’re trying to pull right now

Sydney Kamlager-Dove: "It's total corruption... to try to take control of our govt, to have access to our social security numbers, our medical benefits, all of the information we use when we're trying to get a motherfuckin' tax return. And you're gonna take our money? Homie don't play that."

Anyone who votes to confirm RFK Jr. is a spineless, morally-defunct coward.

If Congress had a constitutional spine, Donald Trump would face strong charges of impeachable abuses of power. As matters stand today, that check on executive power has been temporarily rendered impotent. open.substack.com/pub/edwineis...

All true. Even were it not, one could argue that, given the authority Musk is exercising, and his lack of accountability to anyone (other than perhaps Trump), he is serving as a principal executive officer under the Appointments Clause, and is acting unlawfully unless confirmed by the Senate.

"In a period of 72 hours, Trump announced a trade war with two of America’s most critical economic partners, while Musk and his cronies seized control of sensitive federal financial systems, and announced that the president has approved the dissolution USAID." www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Without public knowledge, Elon Musk is serving as a “special government employee” under President Donald Trump, with access to sensitive information (including your SSN) and broad authority granted by Trump.

Gerry Connolly: "It is a matter for Congress to deal with, not an unelected billionaire oligarchy named Elon Musk. And Elon, if you want to run USAID, get nominated by Trump and go to the Senate and good luck in getting confirmed."

Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"

This is not normal. No one elected Musk—but Trump is letting him raid classified material and people's private financial information. A billionaire with his own motives and foreign entanglements. This is a dangerous, unprecedented power grab. apnews.com/article/doge...

Yes. While there are absolutely things Democrats can and must do to slow, obstruct, etc, GOP hold both House and Senate majorities, severely limiting our options. Johnson and Thune are handing over the own keys and relinquishing their own power. Even for the cynics this should be a shock.

The Framers foresaw this problem and figured legislators' ambition, self-preservation, and self-respect would drive them to act against a tyrant. The Framers didn't expect a majority of Congress would be cowards and fools who cheered it like pigs celebrating the arrival of the butcher.

WHEN ARE WE MARCHING?!

Lock Elon Musk the f@ck out of the government.

Musk is unelected and hasn’t been confirmed by the Senate to any official position. His aides are not government employees. What the hell is going on here? Oligarchy is a big understatement at this point.

Soulless, deranged, evil moron.

It’s far too soon to ascribe responsibility for the horrific DC plane collision, but it’s not too soon to say that dismantling the safeguards afforded by a functioning federal government put us at significant risk. And it’s irrefutable that, since January 20th, we are all less safe.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

So we’re just going full on evil white supremacy now.

Terrifying sociopath. Also sounds like he needs to be brought up on animal cruelty charges.

According to a Nixon-era law & SCOTUS case, presidents can’t hold back congressionally allocated funds because they disagree with a project. But that’s what Donald Trump is trying to do & the real question is whether this SCOTUS will let him get away with it. joycevance.substack.com/p/impoundment

“Forget the myths the media's created about the White House. The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.”

Under Trump, the U.S. military tried to erase the Tuskegee Airmen’s legacy—a disgrace that won’t be forgotten. These men risked their lives for a country that disrespected them, serving during segregation, seen as “less than.” My mom’s uncle, Nelson Brooks, second from the left, was one of them.

DEI exists to help right the historic wrong of unqualified white dudes always getting the gig.

"Arbeit macht frei" - work makes one free, was a cynical welcome at Auschwitz I. SS guards often told prisoners of #Auschwitz that the only way out from the camp was through the chimney of the crematorium. Learn about the sign: https://buff.ly/4gNusbg (Photo: https://buff.ly/4geYVP3)

“I came here to drink coffee and kick MAGA ass, and I’m all priced outta coffee.”

A grim but essential memory: 80 years ago today Auschwitz was liberated. That there was an Auschwitz to liberate is unspeakably tragic. . . www.history.com/this-day-in-...

“It’s a mistake for Democrats to try and work with Trump…The more they communicate that they accept his dominance and respect his power, the more he will exploit their vulnerability, particularly because he sadistically relishes harming and demeaning others.” www.americaamerica.news/p/refusing-t...

"Vice President Harris never called a little girl cute or commented on her outfit; instead, she'd say, 'You look like the smartest person in your class.' The vice president would say, 'Let me hear you say, 'I am a leader,'' and even the youngest girls would say it back." slate.com/news-and-pol...

Pete Hegseth's former sister-in-law post-vote: "I was promised that my statement, on the record, would corroborate the other accusations and make a difference in key votes. But in the end, it did not. [This vote] will make women who have experienced abuse and mistreatment even less forthcoming…"

Yep. But it would even bigger and sooner if the right didn’t control much of our media and social media.
