From Halberstam's "Breaks of the Game," in 1975, NY acquired Spencer Haywood to try to keep the dynasty going. Interestingly, they were originally trying to get Wilt out of retirement but settled on the 26 yr old Haywood. He put up 18 ppg in 4 yrs in NY but was not efficient.
