Louisville had its best recruiting weekend under Jeff Brohm. I wrote a bit about each player that committed. www.cardchronicle.com/2025/3/9/243...

Best offer list of anyone in the class so far. Saw him on his visit last week and I can at least say that he is a massive human. Tall and long but the type of frame that makes you think he can add a lot of weight.

Pretty wild. Terrible season but that final four run was great and he had to rebuild after it. Think he earned another year with a chance to improve the roster through the portal.

The bracket is set for next week's ACC tournament. It's time for the Cards to get back to making this week feel the way it's supposed to.

That’s my feeling on it. We’ll see if these guys with big offers stick. That was the issue last cycle. But it appears to me that the portal drying up/being just as competitive has forced a shift. Plus top teams are focusing on retention now. I think everyone will do the same.

Sears with a dagger. What a finish.

Broadnax just committed to Louisville. Feeling a real shift in recruiting to HS kids.

Alabama is trying hard to lose this

Got a little teary eyed watching the seniors walk off tonight. These dudes have just been exactly what the program needed. It really means something to them too which has been great.

10 For Auburn is a world class loser. He’s like 30 and he plays like a high schooler

Wes Durham pulling a “he threw it to Goshen” blew me away. The man is an encyclopedia

That was a foul

Chucky is putting on a show.

Louisville announced that Reyne Smith will miss the game today.

Louisville just landed a commitment from Karsten Busch. High 3* LB from St. X. Great size at 6-3/235. Going to watch some of his highlights and try to get a post up with an evaluation. Nice get for the staff. One of the higher rated players they've landed in the last couple of years and he's local.

it’s so good

I know a lot of folks will see that and roll their eyes but I’m with this 100%

Extended Thoughts: Louisville 85, Cal 68

His forehead is in an "offsides" position. Lined up in the neutral zone. More head in the front than hair in the back.

Sounds like Hadley and Pryor have a chance of Coming back next year with them not going through senior day activities. Think that was always the assumption but it’s pretty much confirmed barring any NCAA aspects or them hitting the portal.

Brown has a chance to be the best back here since Bush. Maybe the best ever if he plays 3 full years. The speed is obvious but his vision is a bit underrated and he’ll only get stronger and handle contact better as time goes on.

why would the new york times interview its own assignment editor

Cards landed someone in the secondary. Assuming it’s Jaydin Broadnax, a composite 4* DB from Florida. I missed that he picked up more predictions on the recruiting sites last week.

Louisville QB Tyler Shough. Off schedule creation and arm talent on display here. Moves surprisingly well for being 45 years old.

We’ve got daytime conference tournament basketball today, folks. All of my Championship Week stuff is now live on @sbnation.bsky.social. Enjoy the best postseason in sports.

Cards dominate Cal, 85-68

My sleepiness to the end of this game.

I want to see post move James Scott before the end of the season.

That boy will definitely make the dunks.

Blue got in. #BBN

Commentators with a good point there on Cal. They have had the advantage with their bigs. The threes make no sense for them.

They just boom ya

“That’s why he’s out there” two games in a row from Boehiem

I concur even though I had to drop the gif. For…..reasons

I caught up on Mike’s extended thoughts posts this morning and I was so happy to see him point out how hard Waterman had been playing on defense. We’re seeing it tonight.

PK being able to draw that up when they usually look for Reyne is the type of thing that makes me love the dude.

I can share some of the frustration with the way this is all being handled by dems but I can’t help but join in on the point that there’s nothing you can do about people that believe this shit. This is all messaging from TODAY. It’s not real but they believe it and will counter with the argument

Chucky is going to have to force the issue like that all game.

Edwards scoring every point seems unsustainable but I’m here for the attempt to break a record.

Reyne has to knock down these open looks. They’re sinking off of Scott and he’s going to have the opportunity to keep getting guys looks off of the screens.

This thread is one of my favorite underrated traditions.

Vince Marrow and Bowling Green actually makes sense to me. For both sides.
