Well, well, well. This is what we’ve been saying all along, only to be called hysterical, pro-crime & accused of spreading misinformation. Glad to see the mayor finally acknowledging the very real dangers - it’s the bare minimum after the lies his admin told. nashvillebanner.com/2025/04/28/m...

East TN immigrants must now travel 3+ hours to Nashville for ICE check-ins. At least 13 people who showed up to the Knoxville office last week for regular check-ins were detained, a community watchdog group told Knox News. www.knoxnews.com/story/news/l... via @knoxnews

This is the #1 thing people in Nashville should be talking about right now. @freddieoconnell.bsky.social owes all of us an explanation into the KIDNAPPING and TRAFFICKING of our Nashville neighbors to CECOT, which is an eventual death sentence. Their charges were all dropped - why were they taken???

Need some folks who care about pedestrians and cyclists > cars and bars to show up to the Planning Commission on Thursday. DM for details if you’re up for it!

ICYMI, DOGE is knitting together data from the Department of Homeland Security, Social Security Administration, and IRS that could create a surveillance tool of unprecedented scope.

A reminder this 4/20: Thanks to the War on Drugs, drug offenses still account for the incarceration of over 360,000 people, and drug convictions remain a defining feature of the federal prison system.

MANY of us spend dozens of hours a week, completely unpaid, compromising our physical & mental health, job opportunities, etc in an attempt to undo the harm that lobbyists do with a single email or phone call to our elected officials. Lobbyists & electeds who bow to them are a cancer to all of us.

To me, this is the part that’s most upsetting about the entire exchange. And this type of lobbyist influence isn’t limited to cars and bike lanes. Think Fusus — if we had not BUSTED OUR ASSES for FREE, the lobbyists would’ve won that. And they still might! It’s exhausting.

Nashville, don’t miss this! www.eventbrite.com/e/brian-gold...

lol sam reed strikes again the sooner we all understand that there are 5-10 unelected people in this city making all of our lives miserable, the sooner we change it. the only way this dynamic changes is if elected officials feel their seat is threatened & if lobbyists can’t operate in the shadows.

In Nashville if you want safe infrastructure for walking & biking, you fill out a bunch of surveys, attend dozens of meetings, & wait 5-10 years. If you want car infrastructure & you're wealthy & connected you just send a couple emails. Metro will immediately bow down to your wishes.

Sharing this again in case any of y’all are able to help support Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s family while he’s held hostage by two corrupt regimes

“Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell and others in Metro government worked with Republicans to craft the current legislation and its backers have cited the need to stem a rise in anti-semitic demonstrations.” The state is the boogeyman… but @freddieoconnell.bsky.social works with them, against us.

time to grow up!

We have far too many Metro councilmembers running around, acting like high schoolers.

“The bill's origins lie with action taken by the Metro Nashville Council last year in response to several anti-semitic and racist demonstrations by white supremacist and neo-Nazis in downtown Nashville.” This is why CMs should never create legislation based on single acts or worst-case scenario.

Lots of details the author included about this lawyer. One of them was not that he’s worked for the FOP. Seems like an important omission, no?

Did not have @nashvillebanner.bsky.social letting David Raybin (lawyer for FOP opposing community oversight) openly rail Theeda Murphy (community oversight organizer) on my bingo card. They call Murphy a “local progressive organizer” but Raybin is just a “Nashville attorney”. Context matters.

It’s clear that @connordaryani.bsky.social either did not have the context needed for this article or intentionally left it out. You can’t just call David Raybin a “Nashville attorney” without mentioning he was an FOP lawyer & recent killer cop defender. This is incredibly irresponsible journalism.

Natural born citizens have a moral imperative to oppose US-backed genocide. Our friends and neighbors are being surveilled and removed from the country for speaking out.

There’s a lot here, but one thing that stands out (& is new to me) is the part about MNPD artificially inflating response time. When many of us attended Fusus demo in November, the main reason cited for Fusus was the need to reduce response time. One might wonder if those response times are accurate

More breaking news on the MNPD whistleblower complaint: it’s being investigated by a Davidson County grand jury

What has happened in Gaza and what continues to happen is a human crisis, a moral crisis, a complete failure of global super powers to demonstrate any ounce of decency. We have all been exposed as what we are. Empires of violence and greed.

Highly recommend everyone watch this - but especially council members who intend to vote to expand our relationship with Axon via the re-implementation of Fusus.
