Found it! A list of companies backing Project 2025. Boycott them all.

Oh damn Prime actually published their failed chatgpt prompt in the description

Prep time ..

In the latest @redmonk.com update from @kateholterhoff.bsky.social. Congratulations @rstephens.me A very well deserved promotion!!!!

Kill switch is simple, a remote control would be a little more nuanced.

Erm.

Finally. So, next is maybe assign a colour to the icon and background, as a visual hint? Amazed that's not in v1 tbh. Logical name in tab/top right? #aws #ux

Strong, Vector, energy from despicable me. Not clear who Gru is.

Seems to hit the mark. As an extension this applies to much of the corporate world and its leadership. Same applies to many facets of modern technology usage/trends.

I've launched a substack where I write about security issues threatening Europe, and how countries are managing them (or failing to) This week, while many countries are telling citizens they may face a war, 🇬🇧 isn't. Why not? Please consider subscribing to my new project Key points in 🧵

Quick shout out for a project close to my heart - open.substack.com/pub/esp32zx/... The #spectrum was my first, with all the classic typing in listings, tapes, peeking and poking and then a specdrum.. But endless hours on JSW, Chuckie egg, Pssst etc

Packaging python libs for Aws lambda , taking updates and package growth makes layer size a pain point. Anyone got a good tree shaker for lambda packaging? Some dependencies have vast sub modules I don't use. The end game is probably a docker image but more deploy changes for that.

Does anyone know of a file format (cf parquet) that allows column addition... For existing rows (Vs schema change for subsequent rows). Am thinking for feature addition in a scalable manner without rewriting the base data. Hoped iceberg would be it but, afaict it's not . #ML #bigdata

AI apps and tests should be data, not code

I know deep learning models are all the rage, but hand craft features can take you a long way (with fast training and explainable results). Traditional ML models seem to have been skipped in the rush to LLM. Maybe old models / techniques need better PR..

That'd be a Major Major prize.

Who do I talk to around here about feature synthesis? #ML

Welcome #bartech !

threadreaderapp.com/thread/18512... Need a campaign to get Mike off the other place.

Just seen someone refer to the old site as Xitter, which to me starts with a "sh" sound, and I haven't heard anything more appropriate in a while..

It is a scientific fact that no song has ever slapped harder than the 1977 Sesame Street funk/jazz Caribbean-infused banger "Pinball Number Count" by Walt Kraemer, Ed Bogas and The Pointer Sisters

Buy WHY? Cloud poster-child fintech brand. Failing.

Lovely piece, in the series, from @[email protected] confusedofcalcutta.com/2023/08/16/m... Can we upgrade the Intercom chat prompt, to be a kindness button (with real help behind it)?

Great thread

Totally fab gig last night @GreenNote by @sonoftownhall -- a sort of steampunk @fotc The audio mix in the room was too. Would recommend, will see again.

Just discovered this Lady Gaga cover, loving the bass part - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRx00dr3T68

So much chatter about AI risks. As ever, xkcd gets to the point (other risks, bias etc already here) https://xkcd.com/1968/
