From the 8th season of Sesame Street, you can really feel the team just having a ball playing with the format and entertaining themselves as much as the kids watching…

Many, many years ago, animator Adam Brown brought motion to Bill Watterson’s classic Calvin & Hobbes dance strip. We’ll never see an official cartoon, and rightly so, but every time I see this, it just makes me want to pull out my dog-eared collections and re-read the whole lot. Try it. You need it.

You really can’t get more 80s than this music video for the song “TLC” from the fictional band featured in the Saturday morning cartoon series Kidd Video…

Though I first discovered the song via the music video for Tracey Ullman’s cover in the early 80s, finally discovering Kirsty MacColl’s original version of “They Don’t Know” was a revelation…

Quick snap of the new Commander Cody figure (I had to heat the hand to pry it open enough to hold the holopad, but now that sucker’s held fast)…

Another lesson from Sesame Street - Every day in any way, step in to undermine the local Grouch Clubs you encounter…

It’s on your pull lists, right? I’ve got mine sorted. (And I trust Cavan to do right by Gwen. CAVAN, DON’T MAKE ME A LIAR.)

Having been active in the professional geeksphere of that early internet age & knowing far too much about the BTS drama to ever romanticize it, AICN was both a career springboard & impediment for many young writers who found a platform for their cinema/TV enthusiasm. Kudos to those who outgrew it.

With @cavan.bsky.social’s run on Gwenpool soon to launch, not only is it a great time to revisit her original series, but also to check out the BIT OF A CHAT I had a few years back w/ the brill writer who launched her with that incredible series, THE UNBELIEVABLE GWENPOOL - @drhastings.bsky.social

A little later than anticipated, but starting now… JOIN US…

@thataldendiaz.bsky.social When are you finally gonna Fortnite, ya goob? Or do I have to jet water on you in Rivals to get ya to wake up… 😉

HEY! At 11:30pm EST TONIGHT (Friday, April 11), swing by and watch me chat with the mighty @mikekaess.bsky.social as I open (and try to assemble) a Transformer model, plus we'll open some new Star Wars figures & mostly just talk toys & whatever else strikes our fancy! youtube.com/live/ETZ6kCJb86g

Speaking of the late, great Jerry Nelson, here's an interview I did with him many, many years ago. I miss him dearly... patreon.com/posts/from-vault-with-105213728

DANGER! The Muppet performers were packed with unique voices, and I absolutely love what Jerry Nelson could bring to a song, whether it was as Robin The Frog, Gobo Fraggle, Floyd Pepper, The Count, or just a wild-haired Muppet on Sesame Street teaching kids about DANGER…

@kelly-knox.com LMK if you’re keen to guest on Force Five sometime… Would love to have ya on, if you’re keen…

Too real, Sesame Street. Too real. But hey, it’s a valuable lesson about making lemonade…

Counting backwards with Grover and John-John…

Face-off with Ernie and learn a bit about yourself…

Hammertime. #StarWars

Just going through some old Jedi yearbooks… #StarWars

It’s been nearly 50 years to get this heretofore empty promise fulfilled - I want a Chewbacca doll that looks *exactly* like this. #StarWars

Honestly, this is all I need. #Marvel

A few years back, a friend of mine birthday-gifted me this original piece of John Byrne #FantasticFour artwork - A large sketch that Byrne had done for what could have been a set of FF statues, brimming w/ character. Here’s hoping the 3D modelling community can make this a reality. #Marvel

Once A Mandalorian #StarWars #GIJoe

Surprise new arrival at Ollie’s, if anyone missed out or is looking for custom fodder…

Ernie learns an evergreen lesson…

Some classic Sesame Street pinball wizardry for you to count on…

Another delightful bit of classic Sesame Street providing a space for kids to be kids, even when paired with a drop-in guest like Paul Simon, who comes around to the realization and finally embraces that this particular performance no longer belongs to him, but rather to young Leslie…

“Up & Down” with Herry Monster and John-John. These little beats in classic Sesame Street, of kids just being kids and the brilliant Muppet performers (the late, great Jerry Nelson here) skillfully rolling with it, are a beautiful balm when faith in humanity is shook…

Ernie is my brain, every dang night.

It’s the line “My nephew was in that bag…” that brings up numerous fundamentally awkward questions…

What if UP, but McDonald’s probably needed at least one voice in the room going, “WTF?”…
