This is an update on my fight with Aetna for new compression garments for treatment of breast cancer related lymphedema. Aetna issued a retroactive denial after I had my fitting because my oncologist wrote “sleeve” instead of sleeves on the prescription. I had an updated script before the appt.

I’m trying to find out if others are having the same issue I am. I’ve had breast-cancer related lymphedema for for 13 years. I wear a compression sleeve. Aetna no longer has a provider in CT. Are others experiencing a lack of providers for this or other conditions?
