Manchester United. Season ticket holder since 2013 - it’s probably all my fault! 🙈

The Lost Tapes Extra: Bitter Rivals. Ed and Wayne talk about the themes in episode two of TLT. United v Arsenal in the late 90s and early 00s. 🔊 pod.fo/e/2b1edb

🚨 Carragher in ‘Scouser can’t admit he was wrong’ shocker! 🚨

Not to toot the cheating bastards’ horn, but haven’t City already won the Premier League without a No.9? Definitely once, maybe even twice? But it took Liverpool, who will but have yet to win the league, to show us you can win the league without a No.9. The media love in for them is insane!

What Ratcliffe is having to do is shitty for everyone associated with the club, none more so than those the decisions directly impact. But those blaming him & branding him worse than the Glazers are missing the point. The reason he’s having to make these kind of calls is because of the Glazers.

The Everton penalty shout at the end. Could have been a penalty but there was a very similar pull on Maguire earlier in the game that was waved away so they can’t have it both ways.

Did well to get something out of that. I still wouldn’t say we were great in the 2nd half but at least they actually showed a little bit of spirit. Bruno, Dorgu & Garnacho were good.

Naive, sloppy, soft, passive, scared, nervous.

I have never been to Dudley but have always swore I will do a pilgrimage there one day to visit the Duncan Edwards tributes.

Bracing myself for all the “United should have brought Moyes back rather than hiring Amorim” spiel from the Sky Sports Soccer Saturday elite this weekend 😣

Fans should not be paying the price for the historic bad decisions of ownership/management and the Glazers' debt interest. We have always supported lawful protest for fans who are prepared to get off their backsides and walk the walk and we believe that's most effective when we talk the talk too.

I’m not a big fan of a 343 in general but the problem here isn’t really the system. Majority of our players would be just as bad in any system. Our problem is that the squad almost to a man are not athletically suited to how football is played these days. You need strong, fit, powerful runners.

Just to illustrate how short we are for players at the moment.

Wow we’re looking short for tomorrow’s game! If I was a betting man, I’d think we might be seeing: Onana. De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro. Mazraoui, Bruno, Eriksen, Dalot. Zirkzee, Garnacho. Hojlund. And not an awful lot beyond that on the bench! Here’s hoping we stumble on a wonder kid through necessity

We must get drawn in more “all Premier League ties” than any other team! It’s boring!

Yet another Quadruple secured! They never learn, that lot! 😂

1) It won’t be called ‘My United Thoughts.’ Thinking more ‘The United Monologues.’ 2) I’ve now remembered it’s ’Patrick Dorgu’ & not ‘Jeremy Dorgu’ - I’m old & get confused! 3) If I continue with this, I will actually rehearse & at least learn my BlueSky address! on.soundcloud.com/XkUV6WvoZPFs...

Right everybody. I’m not podcaster nor a YouTuber. But I’ve put my thoughts down and wanted to see if this is something people might want to hear every week. I’ve recorded a pilot monologue & want feed back on whether you want to hear it or not; feed back either way is valuable!!

The Lost Tapes United has been subject to many takeover attempts. Maxwell, Murdoch. The Glazer buyout, Ratcliffe’s minority stake. The most infamous is Michael Knighton’s attempt in 1989 This is the unheard story on all podcast apps https://buff.ly/3Q6O6E0

On Garnacho. People forget these days, there used to be a generally accepted thing in football called ‘form.’ Nowadays it’s “goat” or “washed” apparently & no in between! He started the season in good form, has struggled through the winter & is looking sharper again now.

So happy to see Garnacho running at players and making things happen last night. Looked far more like the player we’ve seen since he came into the first team. Zirkzee had one of his better performances when he came on too. Would like to see him do that from the start of games too.

12 year old me who played in goal for my school and idolised Schmeichel was absolutely furious that this got disallowed. Even then I knew it was clearly offside, but was insistent that they should have let him off because he was a goalkeeper 😂 Justifying the unjustifiable!

Also remembering the heroes of Munich, also sadly no longer with us.

All those years ago…

Remember when the Twitter tacticos were saying United should buy him at all costs and “you don’t know ball” if you thought otherwise?

Episode two of The Lost Tapes is here United v Arsenal The story of an epic rivalry. Complete with epic Arsenal moaning you’ve probably never heard. Enjoy : podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/m...

Listen, I know the quality of opponent isn’t massively high in the Europa League, but relatively speaking it looks like United actually had a fairly tough draw as it turned out. All 8 of the teams we played qualified to progress to one of the next rounds.

Post-FCSB pod. A decent performance from United, with the big caveat that Steaua were pretty crap. There's plenty to discuss in the market with three days left in the window. And United face Palace at the weekend. With Ed and @danielharris.bsky.social

Kobbie looked great at 10. He has struggled athletically when in the midfield 2. Garnacho good when he came on. I liked Hojlund’s movement today. That’s how he needs to play. The balls will come if he keeps doing that. I think that’s our best back 3 at the moment as well (Maz, MDL, Licha.)

Didn’t hate that! Actually quite enjoyed it. Looked a lot more comfortable on the ball and moved it a bit quicker. Looked more like the players were meant to be on the pitch in this formation rather than being too scared to get up the pitch.

With Eriksen and Bruno the 10s, I don’t want to see Hojlund touching the ball with his back to goal. Let those 2 get hold of the ball and he should constantly be on the shoulder of the last defender. He needs to have a game where he touches the ball very little but comes away with a few goals.

Haven’t read the article but it isn’t as black & white as the tag line. He made the runs of a goalscorer when he 1st arrived but lack of service & now change of team playing style seem to have left him looking confused & in a state of flux. Being miscast as a back to goal target man isn’t helping.

I have *some* sympathy for Ratcliffe (won’t someone think of the billionaires! 😂) as he’s taking all the flack for the measures he’s taking to clean up someone else’s mess. But he is massively picking the wrong battles. Surely keeping the fans onside for as long as possible would be the best bet!

I don’t want to sound like I’m piling on Hojlund because I really like him & think he has lots of the tools needed to become a very good striker. However, he really needs to work on his hold up play. The ball doesn’t stick up front with him & I think that would make a huge difference to this team.

Glad to get out of that one with a win! Never looked like losing but it was a bit dull and unadventurous. Win is all that matters though!

Look forward to United sending me their ‘how was your match day experience’ survey email, as they seem to have been doing lately!

Just saw the Rangers goal back now. Hand on Maguire’s back. Not a foul by any stretch, but infinitely more of a foul than the one given against us for the ruled out De Ligt goal!!

Still, good to see the new ticketing system that makes it harder for Reds to share tickets but meant to stop touting and scenarios like last seasons Galatasaray game from happening again, is working an absolute treat!

Loads of Rangers fans sat behind me (upper East.) Quiet all game but started chatting toward the end of the match and went nuts when they scored. Started getting a bit heated then. When Bruno scored at the end! Oh my word we went nuts and they shut the fuck up!

Thought we played pretty well tonight to a point, admittedly against Championship level opposition. Should have put them to bed though and not started playing like we were 4-0 up at 1-0, like we tend to do!

Jesus, the second to last line!!! 🙈 “Well, have you got any better ideas because I’d like to hear them?”

Nervous about tonight. Feel like Rangers are the type of team that will fully apply themselves, which is usually enough to beat us these days! We can’t lose them all though & the optimist in me still believes it will all just click at some point 🤞
