Most Accurate Headline of the Day 🏆 www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...

If there was ever a symbol of why we need to get big money out of politics, reform campaign financing, stop conflicts of interest, and tax great wealth, Elon Musk is it. Kudos to Susan Crawford on this big victory for democracy, labor rights, and reproductive freedom in Wisconsin.

Even The NYT heard our protest we were so loud. “She’s not fulfilling her congressional duties and upholding the separation of powers,” said Josh Lowry, chair of the Hamilton County Democrats, who led protests outside the town hall. “She’s selling out Hoosiers.” www.nytimes.com/2025/03/29/u...

There was always a plan.

All of the Republicans who for years railed about "unelected bureaucrats" destroying the government are awfully quiet as an unelected bureaucrat destroys the government.

Lots of "Very Serious People" don't want to admit what is plain and obvious and in front of our eyes and explains so much: Donald Trump and Elon Musk are two of the most ignorant and uninformed people to ever be allowed near public office anywhere in the western world. It's obvious to all of us.

I am grateful that so many people found my open letter to Elon Musk moving and want to share it. Some well meaning people are just cutting and pasting it on their social media feeds. I would appreciate it if people would link to the version posted on @democracydocket.com instead. Thanks. Marc

Why do I have the feeling that the "What did you accomplish last week" emails being sent to Elon are just going to be fed to AI in order to facilitate something nefarious?

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on Elon Musk: I think his whole life is from a position of insecurity, I feel for the guy. I don't think he's a happy person.

Trump could easily stay quiet on these fires until he is President, but he is so weak he needs a villan and needs to be the victim. Never have I seen a whinier child in my life.

If you don’t have a local library card, it should be your New Year’s resolution to get one. It’s an easy resolution to keep and you’ll actually use it, trust me.
