#UBI for all in our society is the longtime policy of @greenparty.org.uk Now's a great time to join us to work towards a humane, healthy, sustainable 21st-century society join.greenparty.org.uk

If, like me, you find Christmas brings with it too many expectations, complex family situations and you struggle with switching off work, there's some great tips in Jim's Sunday supplement.

Is anyone doing anything around trying to hold Meta to account for its failed reporting service? Having got used tomit saying racist posts etc are OK I reported one blatantly impersonating my friend as a scam. Apparently it doesn't go against their standards, no room for appeal.

You look like you need an escape-hatch from everything right now. I know the feeling. For mighty dread hath seized your troubled mind. Mine, too. Let me help? The Hello You Sunday Supplement is a weekly digest of links, chosen to divert, inform and amuse you. open.substack.com/pub/jimallth...

Great work by Pennine Academies and Westmill, but why in 2024 are families across an entire trust needing food parcels at Christmas? Change needs to be quicker. www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/2479600...

Taking Britain out of the Erasmus+ programme was a huge mistake. Labour must rejoin and accept the EU’s offer of a youth mobility scheme

Remember, kids, when they want to take away the BBC's licence fee.

It was once a Twitter tradition that I post this song every 6th December, in memory of me bringing a copy to school and the whole German class having to perform it in assembly. So I'll revive on Bluesky. Happy St Nikolas day everyone! Sorry to the Lord Silkin class of 95! youtu.be/k2nr6KGoHO4?...

I'm a big fan of Tommy Banks and an even bigger fan of pies. I hope his appeal works and his delicious food does not go to waste or to fund a criminal.

Absolutely loving the new @lidluk.bsky.social vegan range. Exceptionally close in taste and quality to their branded counterparts, half the price. Their 'fish' fingers are better than the alternatives. Hope they keep them.

@davegorman.bsky.social When I saw a second date near me for the PowerPoint tour I didn't book as figured it would be the same.or similar material. Reading today's news, reckon I might see different stuff next time.

Dungeons and Drag Kings....what a great name for a group. And what a great idea for free expression and inclusion.

We need to find a way of keeping debate on @bsky.app constructive. Just reading some tweets from @channel4news.bsky.social on The Middle East and CoE abuse and disturbed to see criticism that they spoke to an Israeli spokesperson at all and that they spoke to Nadine Dorris, a CoE abuse survivor.

Really useful LinkedIn hints that would also be useful for other platforms. @janadamssocial.bsky.social worth you sharing too maybe?

This is beyond comprehension. Children tortured and kept in cages in our schools. It's the extreme end of a system that puts pupils with ADHD in detention for talking in class or in seclusion for the wrong haircut. Care and compassion needs to be back in the narrative. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Some of the most powerful & persuasive engagement I have had during my time in Parliament has come directly from children & young people 📝 I’m so pleased that over 35 schools & groups in #NewcastleNorth are getting involved with @ukparliament.bsky.social week & engaging in our democracy!

No surprise here + don't get me started on acronyms/abbreviations used in reports, assessments + meetings. #send #sendfamily

Useful points for #schoolgovernors. Worth thinking about EHCPs and what you know about the law. Should your school be pushing for more funding to fully fulfil needs?

Come and support Nebula, the group empowering autistic women, at the Keighley Lights Switch On from 11am - 5pm Find out more about Nebula online, www.nebulagirlsgroup...

Learning takes place everywhere, everyday and appreciating and caring for our space is vital. That's why at Oxenhope CE Primary we #LearnDifferently www.keighleynews.co....

It's great to get new followers, but I've learned from last time and I'm not going to follow back if you've not got a bio and haven't posted anything (or if you have an it's of zero interest). Before you start following people, please say who you are!

When you have a child who finds school anxiety inducing and traumatic, you are already a criminal if you don't send them, even if you know doing so hurts them. Now the council will remove the only support available to get them there. LESS support from a broken system. www.bbc.com/news/article...

When I was at @telfordwrekin.bsky.social John Prescott's former press officer was briefly my boss. I heard stories of a man who was tremendous fun, but also Labour through and through. I've since met many in Hull who worked with him and considered him a legend. #RIP www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/ce...

This is worth a read if Josh is your MP or, like me, he isn't. Though reading this I wish he was. No rhetoric, no party messages, just good old fashioned balancing pros and cons. As someone who once held one view on this subject and changed their mind, I know I'll agree with you however you vote.

The Daily Mail thinks many of the things I have in/on sandwiches are woke, so this got me to thinking; what other #wokereceipes do people like? I had some #wokepasta for lunch, which was pasta with a butternut squash and feta sauce.

Bluesky now has over 20M people!! 🎉 We've been adding over a million users per day for the last few days. To celebrate, here are 20 fun facts about Bluesky:

This is the truth about Labour's Budget and farmers.

Heading to #thatlondon for #ASBAwarenessWeek. You can follow what's going on at my new work Bluesky, togetherkev.bsky.social

You know what's missing from Bluesky? @johnpopham!

Watching #perfectpubwalks with Bill Bailey and Sir Trevor McDonald on @channel4tv.bsky.social. A really great Sunday night programme of history and scenary that is all that was, is and could be British in an accessible way. Love it.

@greenboots.bsky.social Hello!! Long time no speak!

Here's a useful tool for Bluesky Type your account name in and activate It will come up with a list of the accounts followed by the people you follow.. If you type in your password it will give that list with an optional follow button to make life easy. Try it 💙💙 bsky-follow-finder.theo.io

Jim is one of the most emphatic journalists in the country and other than his late colleague Richard Walker, the one who I've learned most from. I've followed him on the radio and most platforms, but had to come to Bluesky before I noticed this - best online links collection I've read in years.

Great to see my local team, in a northern town more famous for being a target seat for the BNP and a beer originally for "Men if the North" (now loved all over) doing great work for inclusion, equity and awareness. #NotGrimUpNorth
