Cannon captured during the Crimean War at the siege of Sebastopol. Try getting that though customs these days!

Dún Laoghaire looking quite moody this afternoon

Montys of Kathmandu, Dublin. Bit special

Not the original Hell Fire Club, that would be a bit much even for me.

Must have been to Dublin over thirty times but had never visited the National Gallery, it’s absolutely incredible. Everything from Ancient Classical art up to today. One of my favourite artists, bit like Marmite I know, but I like him. I think.

Off to Dublin, been there many many times before (Irish mother) but if anyone knows of something new I should see (or may have missed before) let me know!

Brilliant

My Uncle Joes old place of work around 1970 before moving on to Trinity College, literally just across the road. Guess he didn’t like to travel!

Watched an old DVD (remember them) last night, bought for 50p in local charity shop. Wonderful acting by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

Willow the Woodhound!

Bought this new in about 1980, weighs about the same as a small car but has never let me down #dynachord

A 1935 device for transporting your Dog, thankfully it never caught on!

Scarily how ambition changes with age, Bella our incredibly gifted daughter in law is training for the Zurich marathon. Toby has taken up rugby when not attending A&E. As for me, just getting my legs through the right holes in my underwear without falling over is an achievement!

Fifteen days (or six months in wine years) until the end of January. Not that I’m counting

Christmas present from daughters in law, not quite sure what to think!

I like this…

Roger Smith watch, 99.9% of people won’t know the name so without context, the price of £660,000.00 might seem a tad high. But it’s all relative and compared to a classic Ferrari it’s a bargain

The start of the Wye Valley seen from a window in Chepstow Castle, a view that’s more or less unchanged since 1067.

Wondering if marmalade on toast plus an apple turnover and coffee at 11.00 count as two of my five a day?

Last and most special of my Christmas decorations being put away for another year, it still brings tears to my eyes

Sometimes I need to remind myself of just how fortunate I am.

I would buy a ticket
