I experience it a lot in the workplace. I think sometimes others get too comfortable around me because I know how to play the game. But I let nothing slip past me. I’m black first, an employee second. I probably would’ve gone further in my career had I kept my mouth shut but my conscious is clear.

I would've went to a regular HS and played sports rather than go to an early college. I was a scholar athlete but I later realized couldn't excel as a scholar without the stress relief & dopamine boost that track & 🏐 provided. I got my first C in life, in college (at 16 yrs old), & got depressed.
