If the debt is such an issue, two things. No pay raises for federal elected officials until the debt is below 3% of gdp. No tax cuts until debt is below 3% of gdp. If we can’t afford to feed everyone and provide health care, then how can we afford $1 trillion dollars yearly for the pentagon?
